Out
Mr. Dibbs Lyrics

Zagadat, it's your boy Eazi

I left without my pride
It won't be the first damn time
Don't even ask me why
That's what you do to me
I'll be the first to break
I've given all it takes
But this love we can't maintain
This time you cut too deep

I know we good but we so bad together
I know you know that you're my guilty pleasure
I give an inch you give a different measure
You do, you do, yeah
And every touch you give me I remember
I know you know that you're my guilty pleasure
I give an inch you give a different measure

I keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going, going

I be, I be callin' you back
Even when it's over, it's over, I'm callin' you back
I buy you a bond, tripple K
You get my love trapped, trapped in the bando, babe
I be, I be callin' you back
Even when it's over, it's over, I'm callin' you back
I buy you a bond, tripple K
You get my love trapped, trapped in the bando (ooh)

One thing I know is clear
Your ex and me don't compare
When you're bringin' her up, I don't care
I do too much for you
Halfway is more than fair
You don't know how to get there
And that kinda makes me scared
I should find someone new

I know we good but we so bad together
I know you know that you're my guilty pleasure
I give an inch you give a different measure
You do, you do, yeah
And every touch you give me I remember
I know you know that you're my guilty pleasure
I give an inch you give a different measure

I keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going, going

I be, I be callin' you back
Even when it's over, it's over, I'm callin' you back
I buy you a bond, tripple K
You get my love trapped, trapped in the bando, babe
I be, I be callin' you back
Even when it's over, it's over, I'm callin' you back
I buy you a bond, tripple K
You get my love trapped, trapped in the bando (zagadat)

Oh you the fair girl, you're my lover
And you know seh you're my guilty pleasure
You got a man but he know the answer
'Cause that's just the way it is, the way it is
You can call my number
Anytime you want me, girl I'll answer
Girl I wanna be your secret lover
'Cause that's just the way it is, the way it is
Just the tip, just the tip
You love it when I put just the tip, just the tip, yeah
Rock to this, rock to this
When you hear the song, I hope we can rock to this
You got a man but we'd be good together
'Cause you're a queen and I can treat you better
So baby come, let me show you
The way it is, the way it is

I keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going out of my way
Keep going, going

I be, I be callin' you back
Even when it's over, it's over, I'm callin' you back
I buy you a bond, tripple K
You get my love trapped, trapped in the bando, babe
I be, I be callin' you back
Even when it's over, it's over, I'm callin' you back

I buy you a bond, tripple K
You get my love trapped, trapped in the bando, babe (keep going, going)

Overall Meaning

The song "Out" by Mr. Dibbs is about a conflicted and complicated relationship. The lyrics suggest that the singer has been hurt in the past, but still finds themselves drawn to their partner in spite of their better judgment. The singer admits that the relationship isn't healthy, but they can't help but call their partner back and continue the cycle of pain.

The chorus repeated throughout the song, "I know we good but we so bad together," encapsulates the theme of the song. The singer knows that they and their partner are not good for each other, yet they continue to be drawn to their relationship. The verse, "I keep going out of my way," reinforces this idea - the singer knows that they are making the wrong decisions but continues to do so anyway.

The use of the phrase "guilty pleasure" in the chorus and "trapped in the bando" suggest that the singer feels trapped in the relationship and that their partner has some sort of hold over them. This is further emphasized by the line, "You got my love trapped."

Overall, "Out" is a song that depicts the complicated emotions of a dysfunctional relationship, and the addictive nature of a partner who is ultimately not good for us.

Tarran Sanders

I did not expect Mr. Dibbs to look like this.

CheotheGeo

Still looks like a cool dude

Paul Dipetro

Now I wanna know what you did expect ?? 😂

Tarran Sanders

@Paul Dipetro An older white guy, not an older white guy with a bald head and tattoos up the wazoo. Not that I mind, but then again Dibbs was basically a name I knew, not one I seeked out to know more of.

Photosynthesis was the first skateboard video I ever bought. I ordered it from CCS. I remember getting it like it was yesterday. I’ve watched it countless times. Such good music and great skateboarding. Still have my copy and still plays being over 2 decades old. Thank you mr dibbs! Thank you for posting this!!

Chris Genovese

man, the hours i would pour looking through those little CCS catalogs. it was always a good day when a new one would show up. i think the first video i ordered was a 411VM.

A little over a week ago I was randomly searching youtube for Dibbs interviews and then all of a sudden my favorite skate outlets posts a sick fucking interview with him.... what the actual fuck! What a cool ass dude though, pleasure to listen to all of this cool history. So bummed my nomadic ass lost all of the Dibbs CD's and Vinyl I've bought over the years but oh well that's the life of a traveling, beer drinking skateboarder I guess.
