Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Mr. Grevis's song "So High" seem to be about the experience of smoking weed, and the various emotions and actions that come along with it. The opening lyrics suggest that the singer is smoking high-quality weed and feeling the effects deeply: "Puff the high grade and go so hey." They then reference the West Indian parade, suggesting that they are from the Caribbean, where smoking weed is often a cultural tradition. The singer seems to be unafraid of police intervention, as well: "Babylon come me nuh fraid me go so hey."

The song then takes a surprising turn, referencing Beyoncé's album "Lemonade." It's unclear what this reference means exactly, but it could be suggesting that smoking weed is akin to finding a refreshing drink in the middle of a hot day. The singer then references different strains of weed - kush, purple kush, and "grabba" - and suggests that they don't pay attention to any other substances, like cocaine: "Coke mi nuh look not a way." The song then circles back to the refrain, repeating the phrases "puff the high go so hey," "West Indian go so hey," and "Babylon come in."

Overall, it seems that "So High" is a celebratory song about smoking weed, with a strong nod to Caribbean culture and a carefree disregard for the law. The repetition of certain phrases suggests a hypnotic effect, perhaps mimicking the experience of being "so high" on marijuana.

Oh hell yeah. Good because this and your newer songs are all underrated.

@OfficialMrGrevis

@@1Peasant yeah last album still sold pretty well but stream wise and views on YouTube are dismal. Im unsure too i swear "game over" shat on my other 2 albums. I dunno maybe my fans will appreciate that record later on, can't expect everyone to grow at the same pace as you. Sonically, lyrically, I feel like its leagues better
