Describing the universe, which is mostly empty and dark, with the Earth appearing as an old, mysterious, living planet from space.

In sight, not to be destroyed, this world the next control
Despite our current presence, the planet will remain and will eventually cycle into another dominant species' control.

Invade, scouring the land, the calm before the storm
Humanity dominates and pillages the environment without a clue or regard of the upcoming environmental collapse.

Our monuments arose in sand, no need to terraform
Civilizations are built on borderline-destroyed ecosystems which were never fully regrown. Our needs were placed over the needs of nature.

This world is unlike any other, the elements in place
The planet and its geological factors are unique and are irreplaceable.

Life from this exalted mother, another human race
Nature gives us life, but we are only generic human beings who are only temporarily alive on a rock hurtling through the universe.

We are nothing more than prospects, brought here to try
We are a minority race among all of the other life which rose and fell on the planet.

New seeds implanted in the Earth, last test is growing nigh
Humans are just one more species that will fade away in comparison to the other forms of life, which will outlast us.

Results determining their worth, the cells they multiply
Our worth lies not in our present existence, but what we leave behind, what organisms survive and propagate on the planet.

Remnants, a previous mistake, left deep beneath the tide
Evidence of past life can be seen in the ancient strata of tides that changed the land.

Constructs inspired by the snake, the secrets locked inside
Humanity finds inspiration in the past, even in our more unfortunate and destructive parts of history.

Evolution failed us all, dissolution brought their fall
Humans are just one more species which will inevitably go extinct, as it was for many others.

Consequences all must own, retribution shall atone
The price of neglecting nature and our precious resources is our own impending physical death.

The heavens attract every eye, as fire rains down from the sky
Mother Nature rules above the planet, even more powerful and deadly than the entities that live on it.

This kingdom rose to fall, the prophecies have come to pass
Humanity, whether it recognizes it or not, is destined to die.

Burnt down, to the ground, annihilation, sand to glass
Once we fall, there will be only a few reminders of our brief existence, which itself will eventually be consumed or broken down.

Location's zeroed in, a new plan designed
Lifeforms which have survived or will survive us will take over the planet, whether it be plant or animal.

The light grows faint again, and fades out of mind
Our insights into the universe are limited, and our toils and experiments will have untold and infinite consequences.

We are nothing more than prospects, left here to die
Humans are temporary and insignificant in the grand cosmic scheme.
