Restless
Mr. Nice Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

This month's been crazy
So much to do
Traveling around the world
Been feeling restless lately
So many places
For us to drive to
Recent memories, distant world
Begin to swirl

Your arms fall slowly
You raise them quickly
Hands clasp behind your head
Cross your legs and recline

Take a deep breath
It's been a while
I missed your calls
I've been yearning
And learning how to tell
Time isn't real and neither am I
It's okay to dream and it's okay to cry
Sleep in. again. weekend. no end

So many days passed
I stayed inside
Recent memories, distant world
Begin to swirl
Your arms fall slowly
You raise them quickly

Hands clasp behind your head
Cross your legs and recline

Overall Meaning

The song "Restless" by Mr. Nice talks about the singer's experience of feeling restless due to their busy schedule while traveling around the world. The beginning of the song talks about how much there is to do and how many places there are to drive to, but despite all of this, the singer feels restless. The line "recent memories, distant world begin to swirl" suggests that the singer is in a state of confusion and things may not be as clear as they seem.

In the next part of the song, the singer describes a moment of relaxation where they are with someone who they have missed and yearned for. The line "time isn't real and neither am I" suggests that the singer is struggling to find a sense of reality and perhaps feeling overwhelmed by their busy life. The song ends with the same lines from the beginning, emphasizing the circular nature of the singer's thoughts and feelings.

Overall, "Restless" by Mr. Nice reflects on the paradox of feeling restless while being busy with exciting things and experiencing a sense of confusion and uncertainty amidst the excitement.

I started taking Magnesium glycinate 325mg, 10mg of Melatonin and sometimes add in a THC/CBD/CBN gummy or tincture. This combo has allowed me to get at least 5-6hrs of rest at night. Prayers to all who suffer, this is an extremely frustrating syndrome!

I've had RLS for about 15yrs & can say if I'm on the 4-5th night of this awful syndrome - sometimes it can make you feel suicidal. I take Sifrol on a high dose but over time it has become ineffectual. My Mother & Aunts all had it. Just feels like torture. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

My sympathies towards you & fam…I’ve been on this train for 9 years…have you tried a combination of Ropinirole 5mgs and B1 100iu?

You must go to a reputable doctor. I’ve has it for 53 years. Also watch your diet. Alcohol, sugar, salt, night shade vegetables (can be the worst for you) and anything fermented.

Also in Australia. I've had this, but didn't know what it was, since I was a child, I am now 75. My Mum and Grandma also suffered dreadfully with RLS. Grandma had no meds, she passed away in mid 80s. Mum took Sifrol until she passed away at 90 and I have also been on this for years. I am very active, swim and exercise. I find that if I don't take the Sifrol around 6pm I will be up walking half the night. It doesn't stop it though and in the last year I've begun to have it in my arms. I drink a lot of tea although last cup at 3.30. I have had a small issue of low iron but that corrected next blood test. After listening to this Dr I think I will reduce my Sifrol and see what happens. Would hate this to continue to escalate into the future. It isn't pleasant to be walking around on preferably cold tiles, kicking and tensing to try to stop the sensation it is, I agree, sometimes suicidal thoughts with it occurring so often and so fiercely. I also unconsciously move my feet around a lot, my husband tells me, when I am sitting on the sofa or in bed of a morning having a cuppa. Perhaps this is natures way of helping! Good luck with your RLS.

I think I have this - maybe less severe - and isn’t constant but I have been in desperate situations needing to move my legs. It probably looks insane as I shuffle about or stretching my legs weirdly… but it can be unbearable. It is like an ache that isn’t painful just like a building up of anxiety.
