Some would call him a Sacramento hip hop legend… Read Full Bio ↴Who is Mr. P Chill?
Some would call him a Sacramento hip hop legend. Others would call him a revolutionary. Some would call him an emcee on a mission. And yet others would call him the essence of hip hop itself. All of those descriptions are true. This Sacramento hip hop vet lays his entire lifetime of experiences on every track, every drop of blood and sweat and every tear shed is a part of what makes his music so real. P Chill is not some emcee hiding behind a partition of lies, but rather a person as real as you. Chill writes of the hardships of the working poor, the pain of heartbreak, the anger of the youth and tries to find solutions to a world gone wrong.
P Chill released his first recordings in 1992 while a part of a group. Over the next 20 years Chill has continued to grow not only as an emcee, but as a natural born leader. Chill’s philosophy is that he has been given an incredible opportunity to reach the masses with his voice, so he must use his voice for something constructive, not just talk about senseless, random, materialistic things. Having spent the past 8 years performing up and down the west coast of the United States, selling countless copies of his 6 albums hand to hand as well as over the internet, Chill has decided that the time has come to expand even further. The message of peace and equality that P Chill spreads is universal and needs to be heard. Chill had spent much of 2011 on the road promoting his two releases that year; ONCE AGAIN and ALL SERIOUSNESS ASIDE all over the United States and has already gotten 2012 off to a good start on the road as well.
There is a wind of change blowing in hip hop and P Chill will have that wind at his back as he moves forward into 2012!

Mr. P Chill Lyrics

And bury me in it neck deep
I try to speak
But when I'm there my knees get weak
My stomach turns and my vision blurs
And my heart speeds up a beat
But your Light comes shining through
And I can feel the heat
It ain't enough for me
No I don't ever want it to end
It ain't up to me
It's up to you
Come on baby
You can tell me the truth
Let me see my baby one more time
I know that I can make things right
Let me see my baby one more time
I just want to keep on diggin' that hole
Dig a hole with your love
So deep I could never get free
Might not make sense to you
But it's right where I want to be
And at the end of it all
If the cost of loving you is pain
I'd say it's worth it
And I'd do it again all the same
Is it enough for you?
It ain't enough for me
No I don't ever want it to end
It ain't up to me
It's up to you
Come on baby
You can tell me the truth
Let me see my baby one more time
I know that I can make things right
Let me see my baby one more time
I just want to keep on diggin' that hole
Let me see my baby one more time
I know that I can make things right
Let me see my baby one more time
I just want to keep on diggin' that hole
The lyrics to Mr. P Chill's song "Diggin'" portray a complex emotional struggle within a relationship. The opening lines, "Dig a hole with your love, And bury me in it neck deep" suggest a sense of surrender and complete immersion in the love and emotions shared with the partner. It illustrates a desire to be consumed by love, willing to go as far as burying oneself in it.
The following lines, "I try to speak, But when I'm there my knees get weak, My stomach turns and my vision blurs, And my heart speeds up a beat" convey the overwhelming effect the partner has on the singer. The power of the love shared causes physical and emotional reactions, signifying the intensity of the connection.
Despite the overwhelming sensations, the lyrics express a vulnerability and uncertainty. The lines, "Is it enough for you? It ain't enough for me, No I don't ever want it to end, It ain't up to me, It's up to you," reveal an insecurity about whether the love they share is reciprocated equally. The singer longs for assurance that their love is sufficient and everlasting.
The repeated phrase, "Let me see my baby one more time," underscores the desire for validation and a chance to make things right. The mention of digging the hole serves as a metaphor for continually delving deeper into the relationship, even if it may bring pain or uncertainty. It conveys the willingness to endure hardships and challenges for the sake of love.
Overall, the lyrics convey a complex mixture of vulnerability, desire, and the need for reassurance within a deep romantic connection. It portrays the singer's willingness to go to great lengths to maintain the love they share, despite the potential costs.
