Into You
Myron Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

There's a certain way to be, so they say
I haven't found a rhythm I'd wanna play
I haven't found a rhythm I'd wanna play

Haven't tapped one out on the table
Authorities haven't called
Distracting, unstable, unable to follow directions
There's a certain way to be, what's that mean?
Haven't picked the wrist to slit it seems
No matter which you choose you fall asleep
With dreamless dreams

Figure out what you wanna make or consume
Haven't found a rhythm to beat into you
Haven't found a sigil to burn in your back
Grit teeth, it goes by fast if you relax

Haven't found a rhythm to beat into you

Overall Meaning

The opening line of the song starts off with a societal norm that suggests that there is a specific way one should be or act. It could be interpreted as the pressure to conform and fit into a predetermined mold. However, the artist admits that they have not stumbled upon a rhythm they would want to embrace, which could mean that they are still searching for their unique identity, one that doesn't adhere to the prescribed norms. In the second verse, the artist highlights the struggles they face in following directions, implying that they find it challenging to conform to the societal norm of adhering to the rules. They admit to being unstable and easily distracted, making it hard for them to stick to the prescribed rhythm.

In the chorus, the artist asks a rhetorical question about what it means to be a certain way. They haven't arrived at an answer or found a wrist to slit, which means they haven't committed to either conformity or rebellion. No matter the choice, they feel like they would be living in a dreamless life. Hence, the artist is asking the listener to figure out what they want to make or consume, implying that they need to develop their unique identity, and not just adopt the sanctioned rhythm. The artist hasn't found a rhythm to beat into you, meaning they haven't identified a prescribed way of living that they want others to replicate.

The song's focus is on finding one's identity and breaking free from societal norms. The lyrics carry a sense of rebellion against the idea that we must fit into molds set by society, and that true fulfillment only comes when we establish our unique identity. The artist is urging us to find our rhythm, to figure out what we want to make or consume, and to avoid being beaten down by society's expectations.

Honestly i blame men for how these women are simps too desperate

QuDis

Their are many, many men who are so scared of losing their girlfriend they let her run the relationship, but inside their soul these guys are crying on a regular basis because they lack the courage to put the woman in her place and bring him back to reality , SIMPs have truly f..ked up these womens minds.

I don't scare easy my friend. I lay down the rules and if you don't like them - you can hit the road.

Michael Fredgren

how many guys want to have to come home and start a war with their woman in order to set down rules after working struggling and fighting all day to make the bread to provide her a home and a life????

How about the women having enough respect for their man and for what they are providing to just do things that makes their man feel happy and support in the struggle necessary to provide? Yes, men IN GENERAL are weak for not keeping their women in line, but women IN GENERAL are immature for not behaving like an adult wife should.

Women behave like children for the most part, always pushing boundaries to see what they get away with. The worst mistake you can make as a man is to out yourself in a position where you'll be punished if you leave her, that is the biggest bargaining coin you can have.

The elephant in the room is the law is on their side and guys generally know that

Something isn't adding up for me. On the one hand, Myron says that women typically go into fields that are not scalable and pay less on average, like social sciences fields. Still, on the other hand, women will outearn men in many US cities in the next decade and a half, partly due to a higher rate of female college graduates. So if a good proportion of females go into fields that don’t pay very well, and more of them graduate college these days, how are they outearning men or going to outearn men in the next decade?

Jeertz

Because that trend of most women graduating college is recent yet not all of them go into fields that pays welland it takes time to rise in a career and make good money

Mark Leel

There are a lot of affirmative action hires, where women are not put into certain positions due to gender.
