After beeing a 70's rock lover for years, one day, he discovered something he never heard before, that was Underworld (everything everything). This masterpiece of techno music opened him to techno and electronic musics. Since 2004 N'To produces his own electro music, while he never stopped making all other kinds of music.
Influenced by minimal and techno artists such as James Holden, Extrawelt and Stephan Bodzin, his electronic working is recognizable by his using of smoothy melodies surrounded by efficient minimal rhythms.
He also composes more hip/trip hop and accoustic music.
French: N’To est né à Marseille en 1985, il fait partie de la nouvelle vague d’artistes de la musique électronique qui ne passe pas par la case DJ, mais qui se lance directement dans la production. Âgé de 22 ans, il a déjà été traversé, perturbé, par plusieurs courants musicaux, le rock des années 70 laisse chez lui une trace indélébile. Mais c’est avec « Everything everything » d’Underworld qu'il s'ouvre à la musique électronique ; N’to va en faire son moyen d’expression privilégié, sans pour autant négliger d’autres formes telles que le hip/trip hop et la musique acoustique. On peut reconnaître dans son travail des influences sonores qui viennent de la planète « Border », ou encore du créateur de génie qu’est Stephan Bodzin. Mais N’To émet un son qui lui est propre, des sonorités pointillistes, rapides, une rythmique tapageuse, travaillée à l’extrême. Il déstructure les sons, trahit nos habitudes, et livre au final quelque chose d’absolument cohérent, au-delà de nos attentes.
