Echoes
Nader Khan Lyrics

And just as suddenly you went away
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
O flash of light, in the flow of time
I speak with you in broken words
With a broken heart, and a broken rhyme
My life is you, and my love is you
My connection to The Lord above is you
My means to earn His love is you
My cure from distress and dismay
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
As a blinding light you came to us
And just as suddenly you went away
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
More generous there′s never been
More beautiful was never seen
I surrender at your doorstep
All my dunya and my deen
O one who came to The Merciful's sight
O and He said, "Let there be light"
Convey my broken-hearted plight
That a glance of mercy be cast my way
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
As a blinding light you came to us
And just as suddenly you went away
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
No eye has seen such beauty as thine
No dame has borne such a one so fine
You′re created free of flaw
As if by your own design
May The Lord, upon you, send His peace
Salutations, blessings, that never cease
And to us a gentle breeze
That makes us weep our nights away
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
As a blinding light you came to us
And just as suddenly you went away
The universe still resonates
With echoes of "Sall Allah alaih"
The lyrics to Nader Khan's song "Echoes" speak of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his impact on the world. The opening lines describe him as a "blinding light" that appeared suddenly and left just as quickly. Yet, his presence still resonates throughout the universe with the echoes of "Sall Allah alaih" (meaning "peace and blessings be upon him").
The song expresses the love and devotion of the singer for the Prophet, referring to him as the "sweet Medinan beloved" and speaking of how his life, love, and connection to God are all tied to this great figure. The singer surrenders everything to the Prophet, dedicating both his worldly and spiritual life to him.
The lyrics also highlight the Prophet's beauty and perfection, stating that "no eye has seen such beauty as thine" and that he was created "free of flaw." The singer calls on the Prophet to convey his broken-hearted plight to God and ask for mercy to be cast his way.
Overall, the song is a moving tribute to the Prophet Muhammad and the impact he has had on the singer's life and the world as a whole.

@noorc2855
when one says "the Lord above" they mean in status, not proximity because as all muslims believe, Allaah is not in the above direction, directions are not applicable to Him because He is the Creator of directions. Allah exists without a place. 😊
