But while there's moonlight and music
And love and romance
Let's face the music and dance
Before the fiddlers have fled
Before they ask us to pay the bill
And while we still
Let's face the music and dance
Soon
We'll be without the moon
Humming a diff'rent tune
And then
There may be teardrops to shed
So while there's moonlight and music
And love and romance
Let's face the music and dance
Dance
Let's face the music and dance
The lyrics of the song "Let's Face the Music and Dance" by Nanette Natal conveys the message of embracing life's uncertainties and living in the moment. The first few lines highlight the possibility of trouble that lies ahead, but they suggest that one should focus on the present, which is filled with moonlight, music, love, and romance. The phrase 'let's face the music and dance' can also be interpreted as a metaphor for taking action and dealing with challenges in life.
The lyrics also emphasize the importance of seizing the moment because time is fleeting, and one should not wait until it is too late to make the best of the current situation. In the second verse, it says "before the fiddlers have fled, before they ask us to pay the bill, and while we still have the chance," which implies that one should enjoy the good times while they last because they may not come again. The chorus 'Let's face the music and dance' is repeated several times, emphasizing the need to overcome fear and uncertainty and enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
