Joy
Nat Dove & The Devils Lyrics

They wanna get me out the way
They wanna see me in grey
They wanna see me in a grave
She played me like an arcade
She played me like an arcade
Pull the pin, hug a grenade
Pull the pin, hug a grenade
I got a bih wanna lay
Bussdown I flooded the face
They cannot keep up the pace
They wanna see me in a grave
Herringbone on me it drape
Revenge on me with the BAPE
My girl, coke bottle, the shape
Woebegone I lost my faith
You breathe this hate on my name
Don't know how much I can take
Jameson come by the case
Straight to the head with no chase
Straight to the head with no chase
Straight to the head with no chase
Drowning in all my mistakes
Promise I'm throwing no shade
She played me like an arcade
She played me like an arcade
Oh, how these memories fade
Oh, how these memories fade
They wanna get me out the way
They wanna get me out the way
They wanna see me in grey
They wanna see me in a grave
She played me like an arcade
She played me like an arcade
Pull the pin, hug a grenade
Pull the pin, hug a grenade
The song "Joy" by Nat Dove & The Devils is a deeply introspective track that deals with themes of betrayal, inner turmoil, and the struggle to find meaning in life. The lyrics suggest that the singer is facing a great deal of adversity, both from external forces and from within himself. He feels as though everyone around him is trying to bring him down, and that the only way to escape his troubles is to embrace death.
The repeated refrain, "They wanna get me out the way," underscores the singer's sense of isolation and paranoia. He feels as though the world is closing in on him, and that he has no choice but to fight back with every tool at his disposal. This includes his music, which serves as both a therapeutic outlet and a means of expressing his deepest fears and desires.
Despite the bleakness of the lyrics, there is a sense of defiance and resilience that runs throughout the song. The singer refuses to be beaten down or defeated by the challenges he faces, even as he acknowledges the difficulty of the road ahead. Ultimately, "Joy" is a powerful meditation on the human experience, and on the struggle to find meaning and purpose in a turbulent and often hostile world.

Holy shit I got a tattoo that says “see the joy” in cursive last Saturday I did because I love the rza song. A few days later I binge watch Rudy ray Moore dolemite movies on tubi including peaty wheatstraw I had no clue this was in the movie I highly recommend it if you don’t take them too seriously and enjoy laughing at anything. It’s basically a dolemite movie with a different name
