This song came out in spring of 1978. Loved it then and still love it today! 1978 was the year I graduated from elementary school and I just realized that was 45 years ago. It doesn’t seem that long and this song doesn’t seem that old either.

A funny story. I was in a store at the local shopping mall in 1995. I heard the beginning of a song that begins exactly the way this one does. Thought to myself, wow, someone’s done a remake of Our Love, great. Until the beginning of the song. The song that was is Kiss From a Rose by Seal. It was the first time I heard it and was a bit disappointed it wasn’t a remake. Has anyone ever listened to Kiss From a Rose and realized the intro and after the first verse like Our Love sound almost exactly alike? I’ve played the intro to both songs side by side to the same friends in graduated with in 1978 and they’re amazed. Then, I thought, here goes another lawsuit like He’s So Fine and George Harrison’s My Lord.
