Redemption
Neoux Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Painful memories I cannot erase
It was bad for me
But I learned to own the pain, oh
My wounds are still healing
Watched them turn into scars
My resolve is fading
(this is when your kingdom)
(this is when your kingdom falls)
Move on out of my way
Finger on the trigger and I'm saving the day
Fools are all gonna pay, they're all gonna pay
So you better move quick, get out of my way
Redemption is coming, it's calling my name
You shouldn't have messed with the fighter in me
The fire in me
Say a prayer your reign is ending
I can't see, my fury's blinding
I've had enough of the fire
I'm tearing you down to the wire
I'm taking back my throne
(this is when your kingdom falls)
Say a prayer your reign is ending
I can't see, my fury's blinding
I've had enough of the fire
I'm tearing you down to the wire
I'm taking back my throne
Say a prayer your reign is ending
I can't see, my fury's blinding
I've had enough of the fire
I'm tearing you down to the wire
I'm taking back my throne
There's always someone in the wreckage
And now I'm not alone
And the journey's not my own
Don't be afraid, hear my cry
And sing my song
In "Redemption," Neoux (ft. Tara Louise) sings about the healing power of redemption and the struggle to overcome painful memories. The lyrics touch on themes of resilience, strength, and the fiery determination to reclaim personal power. In the first verse, the singer reveals a belief in destiny, acknowledging the pain of the past but also owning it as a necessary part of their journey. They highlight the gradual healing process, as wounds turn into scars, and express the growing resolve to push past their limits.
The chorus is where the song's emotional intensity builds. The singer declares that this is their moment to rise up against those who've wronged them, fueled by a desire for justice and a sense of righteous anger. They're ready to take charge, urging their foes to get out of the way, and declaring that redemption is coming. The bridge adds to this sense of urgency, with a repetition of the lines "Say a prayer your reign is ending" and "I'm taking back my throne." The final lines of the song offer a sense of hope and solidarity, suggesting that there's always support to be found in times of crisis.
Overall, "Redemption" is a powerful anthem of triumph in the face of adversity. It encourages listeners to tap into their inner strength, push past their pain, and reclaim their sense of agency. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of an individual who's been through the fire and come out stronger on the other side.

Youve got great potential man. I love our style. Your songs are fairly long unlike most timespans songs choose to use to articulate thier message through, but you do it extremely well with so many variations in the beat and excellent use of the genre that youve chosen. The sounds go so well together with each other and the vocals both, and the songs flow very well. And the idea of making songs like a trilogy and making lore behind them is just awesome. Keep Rising through the ranks.
