Flickering Lights
Nerv Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Watching flickering lights below
Hidden line flies in red snow
Want to see me aching longer? You know
Happy hands through a glass
What a show
To you
Wanted you
I was close to send you flowers
But I love you
I'm numb
I know angels don't
Want to see me aching longer Dream in windows below
I know you don't
Wanted to
Be you

Want to be with you
Want to be with you

To be brave and let go anger
I love you
You are numb
Painted memories in front
Want to see me asking longer
Dream in windows below?
Nobody wants
To be blue

Mona watching
Flickering lights below

And she is writing memories
That are nothing but gold

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in Nerv's song "Flickering Lights" depict a feeling of longing and desperation. The singer is watching flickering lights below, possibly representing the chaotic nature of their surroundings. There is a hidden line flying in red snow, which might refer to a secret or a hidden message within the chaos. The singer questions if the person they love wants to see them suffer or ache for a longer period of time, indicating a desire for attention and validation from that person. The hands mentioned are happy, implying that the singer finds solace in something or someone, perhaps looking through a glass window, suggesting a feeling of separation or distance.

The next verse shows the singer contemplating sending flowers to the person they love, but ultimately admitting their numbness and the knowledge that angels, symbolizing purity or higher beings, don't want to witness their pain for an extended period. There is a dream depicted in the windows below, possibly representing the singer's aspirations or desires, but they acknowledge that the person they love doesn't want to be with them. Despite this realization, the singer still yearns to be with that person, expressing their desire in repetition.

The lyrics then shift to the idea of bravery and releasing anger. The singer confesses their love once again but acknowledges their numbness. They mention painted memories, which could signify idealized or distorted recollections, and the desire to see themselves asking or pleading for a longer period. They question if anyone wants to be in a state of sadness or longing, implying a desire to break free from those feelings.

In the final lines, Mona is introduced as watching the flickering lights below, perhaps representing another perspective or character in the narrative. She is writing down memories that are portrayed as nothing but gold, suggesting that she is cherishing and preserving positive moments amidst the chaos and longing.

Overall, "Flickering Lights" seems to explore themes of longing, desperation, and the desire for connection, while also acknowledging the complexities and challenges of experiencing these emotions.

Hello Dr,

I had a sciatic nerve injury on my left legs,
Ive a hip prosthesis implant,
I'm taking your advice about nutrition for the nerve recovery (GOLD and Nerve Defense)
I Have a foot drop right now,
Some recovery about the foot comes three month ago (one side movement, the pushing)

I'd like to know : can i use the light therapy with the implant?
In which place of the legs I'll place it?
In One place during all the period of treatment or by tracking the nerve evolution?
And what type of device would you recommend me?

Thank you for your channel, it's really a mission dedicated channel.

The Nerve Doctors - Neuropathy Pain Treatment

Hi Everett,

I hope you are doing well. Unfortunately, less than 1% of the doctors in the U.S. can treat peripheral neuropathy, so it's like finding a needle in a haystack. We do offer virtual consultations if you are interested, and I have attached a link here: https://healmynerves.com/collections/our-products/products/ask-the-doctor?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_content=ap_szxwb7uwl7

We also have a few other videos on PBM devices as well.

Also, I'm providing you with a link to 2 of our videos on PBM, in case you haven't seen them.

Hi Maria,

Yes, I can certainly recommend a couple of different units for you. You should know that a PBM medical device that functions at the proper wavelength and has the appropriate power output will not be inexpensive. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for in quality and effectiveness. So, the units I recommend and use for my patients are Neuropacalm (formerly-Neurolight) and Healthlight. Here's a link so you can learn more about them:

I got my red light therapy about a year ago and it really has helped. I also helps with general aches and pains. I also use it at night as an only light source for an hour before I go to sleep and it helps me sleep better. great video!

Great job. Keep up the good work.

What is the brand of your red light theraphy?

depena

@Glenda Chedick the brand I got was a Deektrion, which has both frequencies of 660nm and 850nm. I got it from Amazon, I may get another one but I am very satisfied with this model. Hope this helps.

Hey Doc. Thank you for all this information. Would this work for postherpetic neuralgia? If so, what kind would you recommend as my dad has it on his scalp. Would a helmet style device be better than the panels?

Abhigyan Mehrotra

Hey doc, I have axonotmesis(grade 3 sunderland) of the medial planter and lateral planter nerves due to a stretch injury. This was 8 months ago, I have had significant recovery since then. Sensation has come back to the sole and partial control of the toes has also resumed. I have had some sessions of photobiomodulation for 1 month (In India only a pen like laser is available) The wavelength and energy are as advised by you and scientific literature. My question is should the LASER device focus on the site of the injury, proximal to injury or distal to the injury?

The Nerve Doctors - Neuropathy Pain Treatment

Hi Abhigyan. A pen laser is really very limited because you need to cover the entire surface area from the injury site to the affected regions. If it's feasible, I would get the appropriate PBM from the U.S and have it shipped to India. In the meantime, I would use your wand/pen with long broad strokes, starting proximally and working distally.

I've suffered from hand pain since i was a child. Its worse after using tools. I also believe i have restless leg synonym. I recently made a red light bed and use it 20min / day 5 x / week but not with complete consistency. At first it felt like i was wearing a hat or skin cap. I even got a headache at first but not any more. I feel tingling in my hands and legs. Am i right to assume this is nerve regeneration taking place? I believe there is some improvement.

The Nerve Doctors - Neuropathy Pain Treatment

It takes a while for nerve regeneration to occur (like a few months). If you've been using this less than 2 months it most likely is nerve stimulation along with increased blood flow. Both of these are an excellent starting point, so it sounds like you're on the right track. Blessings.
