Following a series of hotly tipped 2009 singles, he signed to London Elektricity's renowned Hospital Records and released his self-titled debut the following year. Since 2012, Netsky has toured with a full band, in addition to releasing two numerically titled albums, both of which topped the Belgian charts, and his sound has expanded to encompass dubstep, hip-hop, and electro-house.
Taking his stage name from a computer worm affecting Microsoft Windows operating systems, Daenen's first releases as Netsky first appeared in 2009, on independent drum'n'bass labels like Talkin Beatz and Liq-weed Ganja. His melodic, energetic sound made him a natural fit for Hospital Records, who signed him at the end of the year. The debut full-length Netsky appeared in 2010, showcasing Daenen's ability to switch between rigorous dancefloor tracks and full-blown songs with guest vocalists. After collaborating with labelmate Danny Byrd on the 2011 single "Tonight," Netsky's second album, 2, was released in 2012. Reaching the top spot in his native country in addition to charting high in New Zealand and the U.K., the album included four Belgian Top 20-charting singles and guest vocals by Diane Charlemagne and Billie, both of whom toured as part of the Netsky live band. By then, he was an in-demand remix producer, having reworked songs by Swedish House Mafia, Miike Snow, Jessie J, and several others.
"Running Low," a collaboration with American singer Beth Ditto, was released in 2014, and became Netsky's first number one single in his native country. Signing with Epic Records, he released his third album, 3, in 2016. Sporting a noticeably poppier sound and featuring guest appearances from the likes of Emeli Sandé, Saint Raymond, Lowell, and the peculiarly named Digital Farm Animals, the album was another success, topping the Belgian charts while hitting the Top Ten of the dance charts in the U.K. and the United States. He followed the album with the 2017 single "Here with You" (with Lost Frequencies) and 2018's "Téquila Limonada" (featuring A.CHAL). In 2019 Netsky teamed up with Aloe Blacc for the single "Snitch." ~ Andy Kellman & Paul Simpson.
Netsky’s profile as a remixer has been affirmed by his huge remixes of ubiquitous club anthems such as Pendulum – “Witchcraft”, Plan B, Leftfield –“Release The Pressure”, Audio Bullies –“Only Man”, Swedish House Mafia – “One”, Jessie J – “Nobody’s Perfect” and Rusko – “Everyday” and more.
Thunder
Netsky Lyrics

And it's faster than an airplane
You can try, keep on runnin'
But no one can dodge the rain
There's a fire, and it's burnin'
Lightin' up like a volcano
You can try to ignore it you can try
Did you feel it?
Oh, did you touch the hurricane?
Did you see it?
Oh, how can you just walk away?
Can't you hear it?
Roar, thunder, thunder, roar
Hey, did you feel the earthquake?
Did you feel it?
Oh, did you touch the hurricane?
Did you see it?
Oh, how can you just walk away?
Can't you hear it?
Roar, thunder, thunder, roar
There's a love that we're missin'
There's an ocean of paradise
This is poison we're kissin'
As the thunder bang, bangs the sky
There's a force and it's stronger
Than any strength of you or I there's a love
There's a love thunder, thunder roar
Hey did you feel the earthquake?
Did you feel it?
Oh did you touch the hurricane?
Did you see it?
Oh how can you just walk away?
Can't you hear it
Roar, thunder, thunder, roar
Hey did you feel the earthquake?
Did you feel it?
Oh did you touch the hurricane?
Did you see it?
Oh how can you just walk away?
Can't you hear it
Roar, thunder, thunder, roar
The lyrics of Netsky's "Thunder" are metaphorically portraying an intense and unstoppable force that is coming towards the singer. It could be interpreted as a storm or a relationship, and the singer is encouraging the listener to not ignore or walk away from it. The first verse describes the storm coming, with the speed of an airplane and the rain that cannot be dodged. The fire burning up like a volcano could symbolize the passion or intensity of the force. The chorus questions if the listener felt the earthquake, touched the hurricane or hears the roar of the force. The second verse then describes the love that they are missing, and the poison they are kissing, with the thunder banging the sky, symbolizing the power that can't be ignored or avoided. The song seems to highlight the importance of facing and embracing the intense experiences in life, rather than avoiding them.

Netskys best track? He's had some of the best DnB tracks I've ever heard. This is in the top 3 of all time for me.
@benlarocque4498
Memory Lane is in my top 3. Big Netsky fan and today is the first time I've heard this one!
@matthewdarry9321
Give & take is up there for me, think this was his last good track imo, 2012-13 was peak
@Xygenscenic
One of Netsky's greatest strengths, in my opinion, is sound layering. The way the track (and MANY of his others, like Moving With You, for example) build upon themselves until they are a swelling tsunami of sound that fills a room, fills your heart, your head--it's nothing short of miraculous.

The only bad thing I can say about this song is that it's too short
@anticipate5605
Agreed needs to be longer
