Having released 6 full lengths (Imagery, A Passage Into Forlorn, Truth Beyond.. , Trilateral Progression, The Thin Line Between, Asylon) Neuraxis have created a very unique style combining sheer brutality with a melodic and progressive edge.
Imagery was more of a death/grind album, while A Passage Into Forlorn (2001) introduced a more melodic and progressive side of extreme metal. And with Truth Beyond…(2002), Neuraxis raised the bar with a dizzying amount of brutality, melody and technicality. All 3 albums were released in Canada (Galy Rec), USA (Willowtip Rec) and Europe (Earache Rec).
In 2005 Neuraxis remain as progressive and vital as ever with their brand new full length, Trilateral Progression. Since Truth Beyond, the band's songwriting has matured to the point of Atheist-like complexity, while maintaining a triumphant melodic edge that baffles and lays waste to most of their contemporaries.
Trilateral Progression stands tall as an articulate model for challenging technical death metal that rejects commercial trends and successfully balances a majestic sense of melody with go-for-the-throat aggression.

The Drop
Neuraxis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Psychological trauma
Strapped down
Drill through my head
Kill me soflty
While I agonisingly die
Ironically dying
By the very substance
Slowly dying
Drop by Drop
The lyrics to Neuraxis's song "The Drop" depict a gruesome and painful scenario of medieval torture and psychological trauma. The subject is strapped down and has a drill going through their head in a slow and agonizing manner. The lyrics also convey a sense of irony as the substance that keeps the subject alive, possibly referring to blood, is the very thing that is causing his death. The term "drop by drop" may also allude to the method of drip torture, where water is slowly dripped onto a person's forehead until they break down mentally.
The vivid imagery in the lyrics and the use of metaphor highlights the horrors of torture and the pain that the subject is experiencing. The lyrics also touch on the theme of irony and the complexity of life and death, as the very thing that sustains life can also be the cause of its demise. The intensity of the music accompanying the lyrics further adds to the overall mood of the song.
