He was first featured in a song by Jolin Tsai as a rapper in 2009. In 2010, he signed with Warner Music Taiwan and released his debut album. The album gained little success. He then changed to a new record label, Gold Typhoon, and released his second album in 2012. This time he received more praise and recognition, mostly on his writing ability. In 2016, he made a deal with another record label, Sun Entertainment Culture. He released his first song in years, called “Too Handsome To Be Together With”. Featuring in the popular TV series, his song became incredibly well-known. He won a number of music awards on his success.
