Vortex
Nick Cave / Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When my love comes down
Down to see you
When my love comes down
Down to see you
I just want to be with you
When my love comes down
Down to see you
Come on, come in
Step into the vortex
Where you belong
Come on, come in
Step into the vortex
Where you belong
Yeah

I just want to hold your hand
I just want to hold your hand
I got, I got no other plans
I just want to hold your hand

And come on, come in
Step into the vortex where you belong
Come on and come in
Step into the vortex where you belong
Come on
Come on

Come on, come in
Step into the vortex
Where you belong
Come on and come in
Step into the vortex
Where you belong

Come on, come in

Step into the vortex
Where you belong

So sorry to read this. Parenting can be incredibly hard when there's risk of suicide. I lost 2 adult siblings who took their own lives. One was planned/deliberate, the other was desperation and possibly could've been saved.
Be as kind and attentive as you can, I'm sure you are that person. Fingers crossed for you both.
Agree with you re Nick Cave's music, especially Ghosteen for me. Helped me with deep grief of a parent.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. ❤ Bad Seed TeeVee ❤ helped get us through it.
