In late 2005, Nickenson Prud’Homme would go on to release his first self-titled debut album. The album would grow to be very successful in the Caribbean music chart with two top-ten hits—Deception and Zamni. Those two singles alone earned Nickenson the highest requested songs in RNJ Antilles radio station in Martinique, Guadeloupe, and French Guiana.
In the summer of 2006 and early 2007, Nickenson Prud’Homme would announce that he was no longer a part of Zenglen due to creative and business issues regarding the manager and some members of the group. The breakup meant that Nickenson was finally going to concentrate more on his solo projects and collaborating with zouk artists such as Warren, Princess Lover, Leila Chicot, Milca, and Ali Angel.
In early 2007 when he announced that he was going solo, the public simply did not buy it. Although everyone recognized his talent, there was a consensus in the mind of music lovers that Nickenson Prud’Homme could not survive without Zenglen. A year later, he proved them all wrong. Today, Nickenson Prud’Homme is one the hottest Konpa/Zouk singers and producers around.
In early 2008, Prud’Homme did an interview with Haitian magazine website www.konpamagazine.com in which he stated that he would be working on a new group that he founded in Miami and is not revealing the name until next summer. Rumor has it that he will be premiering the new group at the 2008 Haitian Konpa Festival in Bayfront Park in North Miami Beach and will be performing with the new group along side his former band, Zenglen.
Nickenson Prud’Homme is an artist with an undisputed talent of mixing konpa and zouk beats together. He has a beautiful singing voice and a dynamic keyboardist. Nickenson has proven to fans and music critics that he is a true force not be reckoned with in the Haitian Music Industry.

Pou'l aprann nou padone
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Èske m'ap ka viv san ou
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Nou dwe mande'l padon
Lè'n fè sa ki pa bon
Me a culpa se fòt mwen
Pou jann separe
Toujou ap boulvèse
Tèt mwen prèske pati, tèlman m'ap reflechi
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Pou'l aprann nou padone
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Èske m'ap ka viv san ou
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Pat vle mande'w padon
Malgre'm pat gen rezon
Mwen kite'w ale san esplikasyon
Pou mwen se sa ki te pi bon
Mwen pa'p mande'w tounen
Men mwen vle fè'w konnen
Lanmou pa dwe fè mal
Menm sil ta mande anpil sakrifis
Pou jan'w te renmen mwen
Sakrifis ou fè pou mwen
Men tout sa pat jamè sifi
Mwen te pran plezi, pou mwen te mal aji
M'te kwè nan fè'w soufri
Mwen te si tèlman pat gen kè
Men aprezan sè le kontrè
San ou tèt m'ap pati
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Pou'l aprann nou padone
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Èske m'ap ka viv san ou
Se Bondye pou'm ta mande
Pou jan'w te renmen mwen
Sakrifis ou fè pou mwen
Men tout sa pat jamè sifi
Mwen te pran plezi, pou mwen te mal aji
M'te kwè nan fè'w soufri
Mwen te si tèlman pat gen kè
Men aprezan sè le kontrè
San ou tèt m'ap pati
Ou se bonè mwen
Viktwa lanmou an mwen
Enspirasyon mwen
Vini pi pre mwen pa ale mwen cheri
Ou se bonè mwen
Viktwa lanmou an mwen
Enspirasyon mwen
Vini pi pre mwen pa ale mwen cheri
Si yon jou Bondye ta ba'w chans padone
Lavi nou ta bèl, lavi nou t'ap bèl
Si yon jou Bondye ta ba'w chans padone
Lavi'n ta bèl, lavi nou t'ap bèl
Si yon jou Bondye ta ba'w chans padone
Lavi nou ta bèl, lavi nou t'ap bèl
Si yon jou Bondye ta ba'w chans padone
Lavi'n ta bèl, lavi nou t'ap bèl
Ou se bonè mwen
Viktwa lanmou an mwen
Enspirasyon mwen
Vini pi pre mwen pa ale mwen cheri
Ou se bonè mwen
Viktwa lanmou an mwen
Enspirasyon mwen
Vini pi pre mwen pa ale mwen cheri
Si yon jou Bondye ta ba'w chans padone
Lavi nou ta bèl, lavi nou ta bèl
Si yon jou Bondye ta ba'w chans padone
Lavi'n ta bèl, lavi nou ta bèl.
The song "Si yon jou" by Nickenson Prud'homme is a beautiful Haitian Creole composition that expresses the artist's plea for forgiveness and reconciliation. The lyrics are centered around the idea of seeking God's forgiveness, as well as asking for forgiveness from others. The chorus repeats the phrase "Se Bondye pou'm ta mande pou'l aprann nou padone," which translates to "It's God that I ask to teach us forgiveness," and emphasizes the importance of forgiveness in one's life.
The first two verses express the importance of asking for forgiveness when one has done wrong. The artist acknowledges his mistakes and how they have affected him, and he seeks forgiveness in order to be able to live without guilt. The third verse talks about how the artist did not ask for forgiveness in the past, even though he knows it was the right thing to do. Instead, he let the person he hurt leave without an explanation. The fourth verse goes on to say that the artist realizes he was wrong, and he believes that love should not hurt, even if it requires sacrifice. The final verse is a repetition of the chorus, emphasizing how important forgiveness is in order to move forward in life.
Overall, the song "Si yon jou" is a powerful interpretation of the idea of forgiveness and its importance in living a fulfilling life. The artist expresses his plea for forgiveness and his desire to learn how to forgive others, as well as the importance of the love and sacrifice that forgiveness requires.
