My older brother had this album and I wore it out playing it all the time, we would dance all over the house!!

@mlapko6646

This song literally changed my life in many different ways, first heard it when I was mid twentys now listen on Mardi Gras, when I need a lift and usually just for fun, btw am now 53......

@yolandasantoyo8947

love this beat

@sharonibaloni6693

took me out of a panic attack in the 70s there great

@sterlinglombard

This is the first time that I heard this version! It's different from the Neville Brother's Band album, "Fiyo on the Byou" Thanks for sharing this! I was raised listening to this music and it really inspires me. I sing along all of the time! NOLA is a magical place!

@MrTimgumbo

This version is older than the Neville Bros. version..same lead singer though

@sterlinglombard

@MrTimgumbo It's so cool to hear a different take on this! This sounds a little more traditional and less rock'n rolly. Both versions are great!

@MrTimgumbo

@Sterling Lombard ..Exactly this version, in fact the whole album was meant to be an homage to traditional Mardi Gras Indian music based on the music my old friend Art Neville heard while growing up in NOLA

@sterlinglombard

@MrTimgumbo I will always consider that place the home of rock'n roll... and listing to music like this reminds me of those roots. Keep it alive!

My old friend Tom Lockhart introduced me to The Wild Tchoupitoulas many years ago. I wish I knew where he was today!
