My Melody
Nico & Vinz Lyrics

My melody ?
My melody ?
My melody ?
Will you care for me, care for me?
When nobody will me see me?
Will you care for me, care for me?
Will you cover me gently?
Let me sleep in your house tonight
You know, you know, you know
By the depth of the well
And the trunk of the tree
That's where I waited
So that you could comfort me, comfort me
Cause I needed to talk, you just walked
But what's so wrong about it?
My fam done kicked me out
Society, I'm torn about it
And you talk to me
Like you know where I've been
Talkin' 'bout, "That's real life,"
I'm talkin' real dear, so what we talkin' 'bout?
I can't inhale the air in the world, polluted with ignorance
These lungs don't wanna read no more
That's all I'm able to talk about
If these my last words
I would sing this
And if I have to go
Play this at my funeral
So I'ma let the music play for every day that you're afraid
We all cry but your tears ain't the same, I can see that
Now we can't kill what is hard, ill and vicious
But improve these statistics, enlighten our existence
Believe that
The lyrics of Nico & Vinz's song My Melody seem to be about finding comfort and companionship in music during difficult times of isolation and rejection. The repetition of "My melody" is like a plea for solace and understanding. The singer asks if anyone will care for them when they feel invisible, and requests shelter for the night. The second verse speaks to the importance of having someone who will listen, who doesn't judge and understands the reality of the singer's life. Their family has kicked them out and society is torn, but music offers a release from the pain and ignorance of the world. The singer proclaims their belief in using music to improve life and encourage growth, even in the face of darkness.
The overall message of the song seems to be one of resilience and hope, despite hard times. Music is a way to connect and find meaning in life. The lyrics speak to the value of honesty and being vulnerable, and recognizing the humanity in others.

Bless, Nico & Vinz. They deserve so many more views, not just "Am I Wrong?"
They're actual, real, human beings. They're still so young, just 23, they have so much time to grow and prosper and become more famous and I'm really excited to see that. Their content is so genuine, sometimes it makes me want to cry because I'm so desensitized to things like drugs, alcohol, partying, sex, etc. that when I come across Nico & Vinz's songs, I feel so pure and happy and truly fulfilled. Yeah, Drake is catchy, yeah, Selena is pretty, but Nico & Vinz take the cake on all forms of music.
