Nil Lara Lyrics

You are about to embark on a journey
You are going to visit monkeys, dolphins
And people
I look around and all I see are politicians on the take
I look at me, I am the same but I don't notice
And I have learned that everybody
Though it's money that will make the monkey dance
Yes, it's money that will make the monkey dance
And it's money that will make the monkey dance
Yes, it's money that will make the monkey, monkey
Monkey dance
On Sunday mornings when I went went to church
A buck was always made
A true parade to pave the way into the glory
And 30 coins was all they paid for
All the ways I should behave
Though it's money that will make the monkey dance
Yes, it's money that will make the monkey dance
And it's money that will make the monkey dance
Yes, it's money that will make the monkey dance
Aye, awa ko ako
And I have paid my way through life
I've kept myself so far removed
From everyone and everything that could be purchased
I will collect what I've put in my piggy bank is locked within
Though it's money that will make the monkey dance
Yes, it's money that will make the monkey dance
And it's money that will make the monkey dance
Oh, I want money give me money, so much money
Tender money
'Cause it's money that will make the monkey dance
I'm the monkey, I'm the monkey
Eh marara I
And though my pockets have a hole
I feel content within my soul
I've been sincere with all the customers encountered
I can't complain, I'm rich in love
And I must thank my God above
Though it's money that will make the monkey dance
Yes, it's money that will make the monkey dance
And it's money that will make the monkey dance
Yes, it's money that will make the monkey dance
The lyrics to Nil Lara's song Money Makes the Monkey Dance explore the idea that everything and everyone can be bought at a certain price. The song starts with the singer suggesting that the listener is going to embark on a journey and visit monkeys, dolphins, and people. This can be interpreted as a metaphor for the different kinds of people that exist in society, some of whom can be influenced or swayed by money. Throughout the song, Lara seems to be acknowledging the corrupt nature of politics and how it can be influenced by money. He suggests that he himself has been influenced by money and that everyone has a price tag on their head.
The second verse of the song mentions the role of money in religion, specifically the idea of tithing and making donations to the church. Lara suggests that money has even found its way into religion and can influence the behavior of the faithful. The third verse mentions how the singer has "paid his way through life" and has kept himself removed from anything that can be purchased. However, he still acknowledges the power of money and how he desires it.
The chorus reinforces the idea that money is what makes everything and everyone move, even if it's not always visible. Lara repeats the line "Yes, it's money that will make the monkey dance" to emphasize this idea. Towards the end of the song, the singer suggests that even though he may be poor and have a hole in his pocket, he feels content and rich in love. This can be interpreted as a message of hope that not everything in life requires money and that there are other more important things in life.
