Olomoučtí No Distance Paradise se v indie vodách pohybují od roku 2008. Úvodní koketování s tím, co vůbec obnáší mít kapelu, vyústilo v první demo, které spatřilo světlo světa pouhý rok po založení. V té době si začali budovat renomé na lokální scéně a jejich hlas zesílil v roce 2010, kdy vydali další EP.
Neotřelá kombinace indiepop-rocku spolu se signifikantním hlubokým hlasem frontmana Mácy, začíná přitahovat pozornost renomovaných kapel, se kterými hrají No Distance Paradise po celé republice. Představili se po boku Sunshine, Niceland, A Banquet nebo Dorian Gray’s Prostitutes (v klubech, jako pražský Lucerna Music Bar, Rock Café, Chapeau Rouge, brněnská Melodka, klub Anděl v Plzni, či několikrát vyprodaný olomoucký S-club). Okusili také atmosféru několika festivalů a majálesů, kde si zahráli na jednom pódiu s takovými jmény jako Nightwork, No Name nebo Clou. Výrazněji všímat si jich tak začalo tuzemské publikum díky jejich dravosti a originalitě, na níž v české kotlině nejsme příliš zvyklí, i přesto, že jejím členům je pouze něco málo přes 20 let. Fanoušci si je mohli živě poslechnout i prostřednictvím rádiových vln, když Ndp účinkovali v live pořadu Rockle na Českém rozhlase Olomouc. Jejich kvalit si všímá také významný server indiemusic.cz a v roce 2010 je zařazuje mezi největší objevy české indie scény.
V roce 2011 se No Distance Paradise zavřeli do GM studia v Jablunkově a začali chystat materiál na nové EP Reflection, jehož vydání jsme se dočkali v průběhu prosince roku 2011. EP obsahuje čtyři skladby, které se vyznačují svou melodičností a melancholickým nádechem. O master a mix, se stejně jako v případě předchozího počinu, postaral Tomáš Koula (Niceland). O Reflection se dá s klidem říci, že zcela vybočuje z toho, na co jsme od domácích skupin posledních let zvyklí. Kapela se snažila skloubit prvky popu, ale i motivy (například dechové nástroje), jež slýcháváme od známějších západních více indie kapel, u kterých se členové No Distance Paradise především inspirují. Což autor hudby, kytarista a klávesák Martin potvrdil: „Reflection EP je snahou, plynoucí již z názvu, reflektovat osobnost naší generace skrze vášeň k hudbě. Mnohé inspirace a impulzy vznikly pod vlivem našich melancholických snů i ze současné světové anglo-americké hudební scény, čímž se snažíme vymanit z otěží domácí hudební kultury. Reflection je světlem světa odrážejícím se v nás.“ Máca, který si texty psal sám sobě na míru, pak dodává: „Bezprostřední. Takhle vidím naše poslední EP já. Pokusili jsme se vyjádřit vše, co v nás tepe, pro nás tím nejpřirozenějším způsobem - hudbou. Jak se nám to povedlo, musí již posoudit ostatní…“
