After recording a 4-track EP on Ben's boombox in his room, they were "found" by the Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth, and signed to their American label. They released two albums and numerous EPs, before breaking up in 1995. At 18, Lee went on to start a very successful career as a solo artist.

In 2009, Noise Addict released a brand new full-length for free download. The new lineup includes Ben Lee, Lou Barlow, and Lara Meyerratken.
