The opening lines of these lyrics seem to set a peaceful and calming scene, with the singer under the moonlight and feeling at ease. However, the phrase “watch it invade me” is interesting because it can be interpreted in a number of ways. It can be a positive thing, as if the moonlight is washing over and infusing the singer with a sense of peace and wonder. Or, it could be seen as invasive, almost as if the moonlight is taking over and invading the singer's mind and feelings.

The second half of the verses continue with the theme of being overwhelmed by beauty, with the singer feeling “overpowered” by it. This can be interpreted in many ways, as well. Perhaps the beauty is so intense and all-encompassing that it's a bit too overwhelming for the singer. Or, it could be seen as a positive thing, with the beauty being so powerful that it fills the singer up and brings happiness and joy.

The chorus brings in the phrase “slow, touchdown, you’re grounded” which, taken at face value, could refer to an airplane landing or some other sort of physical grounding. However, in the context of the song, it seems to refer to a mental or emotional grounding. It's almost like a reminder to take a deep breath, to feel the sensations of the physical world around you and to stay connected to the present. Finally, the mentions of rainbow phase and sunlight haze add a mystical, surreal quality to the song, suggesting that what the singer is experiencing is something quite otherworldly.
