ONEWE was originally self-formed under the name M.A.S 0094 (Make A Sound 0094) consisting of the same five members, being 00 the year of birth of the youngest member and 94 of the oldest. They released the digital single "Butterfly, Find a Flower" (Hangul: 나비, 꽃을 찾다) on August 13, 2015 under Modern Music, dedicated to 'comfort women' victims, busked and donated all proceeds to charity to support these women. After this, they later released two EPs, 'Feeling Good Day' in March 2016 and 'Make Some Noise' in January 2017, which was their last release as M.A.S 0094. In April 2017, the band signed an exclusive artist contract with RBW Entertainment and were renamed MAS, then entering the survival show "The Unit". In June 2018, it was announced that the band would re-debut under the new band name ONEWE.
The band officially re-debuted as ONEWE on May 13, 2019 with "Reminisce about All" in their first single album "1/4".
