Intro
Oblivion Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Oblivion's Mighty Trash's song "Intro" are a reflection on the artist's perception of the world and its inhabitants. The opening lines express the idea that these creatures, which are difficult to differentiate, can be found everywhere, even inside one's own home. The artist describes encountering these creatures and taking notes on his phone, as a way to remember their appearance without getting too close because they are dangerous. The lyrics also touch upon the artist's rejection of societal norms and his preference for insulting those with prejudiced beliefs. He sees himself as an observer, documenting his disdain for humanity in his journals.

The artist expresses a sense of alienation from society and a desire to distance himself from humanity. He criticizes his own species and suggests that his hatred grows stronger with each passing day. He sees no hope for change until his own death. The lyrics also allude to the artist's creative nature and his propensity for expressing his disgust through his art. Ultimately, the lyrics convey a sense of rebellion and defiance against societal norms and an embrace of the "beasts" rather than the flawed humans.

Good, I still get goosebumps whenever I hear him say "and the final hours of my life" and then the music kicks in. God, this was a great start to a game.

OneOnOne1162 seriously

SatansWerewolf

I think part of that feeling is dread at the thought of Patrick Stewart dying. :(

OneOnOne1162 same here

LilAceski

hell yeah, my friends in high school told me I should play this and I really knew nothing about it, so I went in blind and this intro literally blew me away. I was vomiting rainbows.

James Lewis

I just started a new game the other day and I forgot how good the intro was. I wanted to watch this again

I replayed oblivion like 12 years after it came out. I wanted to know if it really was as good as I remember, or just nostalgia. And yep, it really is so much better than Skyrim.

Hi verified

Coal1t1oN

Agreed, even as someone who never played oblivion before Skyrim but I enjoyed oblivion a lot more

Teddy 2391

Why hate on Skyrim, man? Both are good, really good.
