2. Omnia is an electronic dance music producer, his track Stick in monday was featured in the Trance Mix Mission Podcast.
Man behind it all, is Evgeny Smirnov. Born in 1987, he would grow up with a diverse taste in music, loving and exploring the beauty of different genres. In the 90’s, he turned his passion for EDM into a hobby and started toying around with producing programs. After discovering trance music, Evgeny knew which path to follow and started developing his sound into this direction.
At the end of 2006, when Evgeny was only 20 years old, he concentrated on creating his own, quality tracks and saw big names like Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Above & Beyond play his tracks and remixes on the radio and during gigs. Remixes on ‘Ørjan Nilsen – La Guitarra’ and ‘Armin van Buuren feat. Jacqueline Govaert – Never Say Never’ put Omnia’s name on the map.

parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
remember me to a girl who lives there
if she would be a true love of mine...
Tell her to find me an acre of land
parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
between the sea and the silver sand
Tell her to plow it with a dandelion thorn
parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
and sow the field with spirits unborn
if she would be a true love of mine...
Tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather
parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
and gather it all in flowers of heather
if she would be a true love of mine...
Tell her to weave it on unicorn bone
parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
and dye it red with the blood of old stone
if she would be a true love of mine...
Tell her to make me a funeral shirt
parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
with the stitches all of graveyard dirt
if she would be a true love of mine...
Tell her to find me where the banshee sings
parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
then fly to me on Angel wings
then she would be a true love of mine...
The lyrics to Omnia's song "The Elven Lover" are a take on the traditional English ballad "Scarborough Fair." The lyrics are primarily about a man who sends a message to a woman he loves. He asks her to remember him and find an acre of land between the sea and the silver sand. He then asks her to plow the land with a dandelion thorn, sow it with spirits unborn, reap it with a sickle of leather, and gather it all in flowers of heather. The lyrics then continue with the woman weaving the land on unicorn bone and dyeing it red with the blood of old stone. Finally, he asks her to make him a funeral shirt with stitches made of graveyard dirt, find him where the banshee sings, and fly to him on angel's wings if she truly loves him.
The lyrics of "The Elven Lover" are mystical and poetic, suggesting a connection to nature and folklore. The use of parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme as well as the references to the banshee, unicorn bone, and spirits unborn all contribute to this mystical element. Additionally, the lyrics seem to suggest a deeper message about love, with the man asking the woman to do seemingly impossible tasks to prove her love.
