Break Me

These games you've played, inside my mind
Forget the past, it seems so far away
Never had the choice, there was too much to say
Take a risk with you, we'll make these dreams come true
There's nothing left to say, if you leave me
Alone
You had your chance come and take me as I am
Broken again
I cared too much come protect me from myself
This outcome disconnects me, from the silence you create
I felt so insecure, you never took the time to tell me it's over
My heart still bleeds for you, there's nothing left to do
I know that you're not good for me
Right now
Break me again
You had your chance come and take me as I am
Broken again
I cared too much, come protect me from myself
I gave myself a place to hide
I wish that you would come inside but I've given up on you
I think about another place, where only I can see your face
But there's nothing left for me
Because I'm broken, I'm broken
I'm broken, you're broken
Break me again
It was just too much to save me from myself
Break me again
You had your chance come and take me as I am
Broken again
I cared too much, come protect me from myself
Come protect me from myself
Come protect me from myself
The lyrics of One Less Reason's song "Break Me" depict a painful experience of breaking up with someone important, and how it leaves a person feeling shattered and broken. The opening lines "Enter the world you've left behind, these games you've played inside my mind" suggest a feeling of betrayal or disappointment, indicating the end of the relationship. The singer is asking the partner to forget the past and move on, but the pain of the separation is still very present. The chorus "Break me again, you had your chance come and take me as I am, broken again, I cared too much, come protect me from myself" reflects a cry for help and support. The singer wants the partner to return and help them heal, but knows that it might not be possible. The lyrics of the song also portray an internal struggle with the emotions of the breakup, which can only be overcome with support from another person.
The lyrics of the song indicate an emotional connection that was deep and intense, but it ended in a bitter way. The lines "My heart still bleeds for you, there's nothing left to do, I know that you're not good for me, right now" suggest agony and a longing for the person who has left. The repeated phrase "Break me again" in the chorus highlights the struggle to deal with heartbreak and move on from it. The song's sensitive and thoughtful lyrics are relatable to anyone who has been through a heartbreak and can understand the pain that comes with it.

One of the things I absolutely love about you guys is you're so humble that you put credits at the end of a music video making sure everyone gets the credit they deserve...that's what makes you amazing people and musicians.

Just saw these guys in Spokane and they tore it up. They said they never played in Spokane before, well what I think is no matter how long the journey it was, they were there and I was there and it was great. They gave a phenomenal tribute to a lost friend with "Halelujah" that i won't soon forget. My hat's off to you gentlemen, well done.

I must have been in a cave for 5 years almost...a new album - amazingly awesome! Chris...I am so glad that you kept those subtle breaks in the riffs...and your unique style of repeating lyrics (Chorus sometimes) without really doing so! I mean keep that vibe and flow that feels like September... and A day to be Alone...two of the best songs ever written that the rest of the world missed out on! Bravo guys! Thanks for your hard work and talent. Jim C.

I just heard this song for the first time and at the first chorus, I got goosebumps!! Cris Brown has the best vocals, in my opinion, in todays so-called music. OLR has always been amazing, but this one takes the cake and runs with it. Each album keeps getting better and better. Kudos OLR! Keep Rockin!!
