Aimee Castillo (no relation to Monica) was with the group for their first album, "Just the Beginning" and left before releasing their second, "Sincerely Yours."

The five girls all began singing in church. But they got their start as a vocal group in a high school talent show, and decided to take it to the next level. They were signed by Bay Area indie label, Kamikaze Entertainment soon after.

Their debut single, "When U Think About Me", was snapped up by MCA Records. The track can be found on the MTV Films soundtrack for the movie "Jailbait." During this time with MCA, they were briefly known as Voice V.

After a short hiatus, they released their third album in 2004, "Luvin' You", on Straight Hits Entertainment, with the lead single "Poison."
