1) Ookla the Mok is Fandom's Own Rock Band. They've been playing at Science Fiction and Comic Book Conventions all over North America since 1994. Their clever, media-savvy lyrics, catchy melodies and accessible power-pop sound have made them a cult sensation with nerds everywhere.
Ookla also does music for TV and movies. They wrote and performed the theme song to the ABC-TV Saturday morning cartoon Disney's Fillmore!, the score and soundtrack to the feature film Bite Me, Fanboy!, and had a song featured in the short film Because You Demanded It!
2) Ookla The Mok is also the name of a 90's Metal/Hardcore band from New Hampshire. They released a 6 song EP on Life Sentence Records entitled "Bless Her Little Black Heart" in 1998.
