Honestly, often times I enjoy the trailers for major summer blockbusters more than the movies. You know nothing out of the ordinary is going to occur in this movie, but the trailer just sort of sums up the best parts and is a work of art in itself. Watch the Superman one from 5~ years ago (again), it was brilliant.

A year later and this is still one of the best and most humble trailers I've ever seen, and the same goes to the movie. Awesome good time. Might just be one of the first, if not, the few western takes on an eastern franchise that respects the source material. Heck, even M. In fairness, from the news that's come out about that, it wasn't M.Night not respecting ATLA that made it horrible; it was nepotism on the part of the larger production company and distributors that basically lead to M.Night eventually giving up and saying 'fuck it' because every time he'd attempt to make something closer to the source material they'd shut it down.

Tremendous job by whomever came up with this trailer, its structure and the surprising, but really effective and emotional music.

It was majestic, moving, thrilling, beautiful, reminding me of what it must have been to be in the 1930's when Disney released Fantasia, and A Night On Stone Mountain began. This preview is the King of all previews, and since that has to include Fury Road's preview, I can't make it any clearer. The movie was full of wonderful visions.

Don't know why so many people dislike this movie but as true Godzilla and Toho Fan I Love this Movie more than Godzilla vs Kong even though Godzilla Vs Kong got over 100 Million Views and Godzilla King Of The Monsters only got 30 Million Views

@YouLuck Agreed. Godzilla vs Kong was a mess of a movie, the plot was nonsensical and the world building from previous movies destroyed. It was suddenly star wars with spaceships and ancient monkey kingdom?? Godzilla literally burrowed down into the hollow earth with just its atomic breath wtf. Skull island completely destroyed for some reason? So much potential for future stories wasted; it still baffles me to this day.

This trailer harkens back to a time when trailers were EVENTS man. Beautiful music, fantastic editing… giving a peek at the characters but not revealing too much. And say what you want… I thought the movie lived up to the hype.

Can I just state that this trailer and the final are some of the best trailers ever made from a theatrical side? Clair De Lune, Somewhere over the Rainbow, King Lanaster saying "Long Live the King"? These definitely sold the movie along with having great select of placement of score and cuts chiefs kiss

I know most people (myself included) are tired of the cyan and orange color palette found in most action blockbusters, but I really like what they did with it here. The scenes with the Kaiju that are almost completely monochromatic create such an intense yet magical look, and brings a feeling of awe and hope, while still reminding us how powerful these creatures really are. They really kept us the saturation through the trailer, with the red lights creating so much contrast, and the yellow electricity completely filling the screen. Not to mention the absolutely incredible score, which perfectly blends feelings of fear and hope into an emotional masterpiece. Even if the story isn't very good, I'm sure I'll love watching it.

Marley Cameron (late reply) because the colour of sci fi is blue so films within that category are (most of the time) associated with that colour- just like how horror films have a “red” tone to symbolise fear and anger as red is “the colour of horror”

Well, they don't use solid colour. They use every spectrum of cyan and orange, and not two limited colours.
