Like in a Gasoline Tank
Os Catalépticos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The frantic neurons burn Making my eye balls turn
Psycho and psycho visions
They finally get me ready For the night to come
Full speed in my car Non stop on the way to hell
Which I know like no one The poison heats me up every mile
Psycho....
Like in a gas tank Bubbling under such pressure
I let it all (blow up) In this endless road
The song "Like in a Gasoline Tank" by Os Catalépticos is an intense and dark portrayal of the lead singer's state of mind. The first line, "I light up in my skull like in a gasoline tank," creates a vivid image of the singer's mind igniting with explosive energy, like fuel in a gas tank. The use of the metaphor emphasizes the dangerous and volatile nature of the singer's thoughts.
The next line, "The frantic neurons burn, making my eye balls turn," further explores the intensity of the singer's mental state. The use of the word "frantic" emphasizes the rapid and chaotic nature of the thoughts, while "burn" conveys the idea of pain and discomfort. The phrase "making my eye balls turn" is particularly unsettling, as it suggests the singer's thoughts are so intense that they are physically affecting his body.
The chorus of the song, "Like in a gas tank, bubbling under such pressure, I let it all (blow up) in this endless road," continues the theme of explosive energy. The use of the word "pressure" emphasizes the idea that the singer can only hold his intense thoughts and emotions for so long before they reach a breaking point. The addition of the phrase "in this endless road" adds to the sense of hopelessness and desperation in the lyrics, suggesting that the singer feels trapped in his own mind.
Overall, "Like in a Gasoline Tank" is a powerful and evocative song that speaks to the intensity of the human mind and emotions.
