The Oslo Gospel Choir is conducted by Tore Aas, who compose most of the songs. The group's repertoire also includes traditional American gospel songs.
The people singing in the choir comes from various churches in Oslo. Apart from giving performances in Norway we are making a name for ourselves internationally. We have made a fair number of television appearances. The choir's goal is always the same: to preach the Gospel through music. Our style of music could be compared to black American gospel music. According to Tore Aas the music genre "will never be out of fashion. With its impulsive, dynamic and lively style we can easily compare it to classical music's timelessness. This style of music appeals to many people all over the world".

Through the storms of life
lead me into your light
give my heart a new song
when I`m weak make me strong
by your word lead me
into pastures of peace
safely rest
in your arms
Your my redeemer
and amazing grace
my fortress, and my hiding place
Your my deliverer
and my solid rock
my souls desire is in you
Through all creation
your ways are known
cause you are the God
who`s God alone
you`re a God alone
Let every, let every nation
and let every tongue
confess that you are Lord of all
The first stanza of 'In Your Arms' is an appeal to God for His protection as one goes through the storms of life. It is a cry for God to be a light in darkness and a source of strength during moments of weakness. The lyrics create an image of a sheep being led by their shepherd into a safe resting place. The use of the word 'redeemer' refers to the concept of salvation in Christian theology, which signifies God saving people from their sins. This line conveys the idea that God is a saviour and that He has the power to bring people out of difficult situations.
The second stanza of the song switches to a declaration of faith and praise for God. The lyrics assert that the ways of God are known in all of creation and that He is a God who is alone in His power and authority. The phrase 'you're a God alone' highlights God's distinctness and majesty. The final lines of the stanza address humanity, declaring that all people and nations will confess that God is Lord of all. This is a reference to the Bible, where there is a prophecy that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Overall, the song 'In Your Arms' is focused on the theme of finding shelter and rest in God. It is a declaration of faith in God's sovereignty, power, and protection in times of trouble. The song's lyrics encourage listeners to trust in God and seek refuge in Him during the storms and challenges of life.

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side;
with patience bear thy cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every Change he faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly friend
thru thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
to guide the future as he has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
his voice who ruled them while he dwelt below.
Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
when we shall be forever with the Lord.
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, loves purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past,
all safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

All thanks & praises to our Lord God! I cannot stop listening to this song of worship, even though it is more than 10 years old (maybe longer?). The words & music were definitely Divinely inspired! But the voices, wow!! These are the voices of angels... God bless! From Cape Town, South Africa
