Whether she is mentioned as the first wife of Adam or not is irrelevant. The fact that she existed is what is important. It is known that mythologies expand and evolve over time, and the myth of Lilith is no different.

@kys HOW do you know, objectively, that Eve was real? What evidence, and I do not mean here-say, do you have? If you take the written sources that say that Eve was real, then those that say that Lilith was real are of equal validity. If you deny those that say Lilith was real, then you eliminate the basis for acceptance-as-evidence you give those that say Eve was real. Rather a bind, is it not? You find yourself at the separation twixt proof and faith. You can't dispute proof, or the LACK of proof, and the latter in both cases is where it stands.
