P.O.BOX Lyrics

All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system,

There is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless,

That the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to P.O.BOX's song N.C. touch on the idea of how the dominant powers in society use popular culture and propaganda to create a sense of helplessness and conformity among people. The opening line talks about how this pressure is pervasive and ubiquitous, extending from the world of popular culture to the propaganda system.

The lyrics go on to suggest that this pressure aims to make people feel like they have no agency or power over their lives. They are made to believe that their only role is to accept the decisions made for them and to engage in a never-ending cycle of consumption. This is a cynical view of modern life, suggesting that people are programmed to be passive and uncritical consumers of the status quo.

Overall, N.C. is a critique of the power structures that shape our lives and our perceptions of the world. It suggests that we need to be more critical of the messages we receive and to actively resist the pressure to conform and consume.

Nice job! Solo smokeless fireplaces really are smokeless. However, the design features that make them smokeless also prevent them from radiating heat horizontally. A circle of people sitting around a Solo will feel very little warmth.

You're right, however, I purchased a Solo Stove about 6 months ago and they have an accessory that you can purchase called a "Heat Deflector" that radiates the heat horizontally. It's just one of the pretty creative accessories that Solo Stove has - they even have a pizza oven and a wok. Pretty cool!

Wow, that coin sorting machine brings back childhood memories! I was obsessed with coin sorters and had several that were unique.

Regarding the towel: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy has a few things to say on the subject of towels. A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.

As someone who has hitchhiked about 40,000km around 16 countries I always had a towel

The coin bank is a really cool design except for the thin plastic that looks like there
would be problems after a while.

The fire starter is great. I could use that. I've used the chemical post stuff before, and it was awesome.

I have one of those parabolic mirrors, it works well, but beware, looking at the hot spot will damage your eyes. If you insist, consider using a welder's glass to look at it.
