We feel less and less in control of our world and our lives, as everything seems to be closing in on us.

The choices aren't ours to be made
We're frustrated by how limited our options seem, and how little say we have in our own destiny.

And I to my days
We reflect on our current situation, and the limited time we have to make things better or different.

I feel like wasting my days
Despite our hope and determination, we can't shake the feeling that we're wasting time or not fully living up to our potential.

And I can't see what's coming on
We don't know what the future holds, and this uncertainty fills us with anxiety and fear.

And I can't say it will all be fine
Despite the reassurances of others, we can't genuinely believe that everything will work out perfectly or that our fears are unfounded.

No I can't help thinking we grew up too fast
