PWR BTTM Lyrics

It's feels so great
To want more nothing
I haven't even been away
For a day, it feels like something
Ooooooooh
Oooooooooooh
Haven't seen your face since 1994
It feels like nothing
These days it pays to be so strange
And I'm like nothing
Ooooooooh
Oooooooooooh, ooh
Ooooooooh
Yeah!
Ooooooooh
Oooooooooooh
Ooooooooh
The song "1994" by PWR BTTM explores themes of nostalgia, loneliness, and the search for identity. The opening lines, "Haven't had a thing to eat, It's feels so great, To want more nothing," suggest a sense of freedom and liberation from material desires. The singer finds happiness and fulfillment in simple pleasures, such as not eating, and the idea of wanting "more nothing" implies a rejection of consumerism and superficiality. The lines "I haven't even been away, For a day, it feels like something" suggest that this feeling of contentment is a new and unusual experience for the singer, making it all the more significant.
The title of the song, "1994," refers to a time in the past when things were simpler and less complicated. The line "Haven't seen your face since 1994, It feels like nothing" further emphasizes this idea of the past being a simpler time. The reference to "your face" suggests that there is someone specific the singer is missing, but the lyrics offer no further explanation. This ambiguity allows the listener to project their own experiences and emotions onto the song.
Overall, "1994" is a song about finding joy in simplicity and looking back on the past with a sense of longing. It invites the listener to reflect on their own nostalgia and the ways in which they find happiness in their own lives.

Haven't had a thing to eat
I have not consumed anything recently
It's feels so great
Despite not eating, I feel content and happy
To want more nothing
I desire to have less and simplify my life
I haven't even been away
I have not traveled or gone anywhere recently
For a day, it feels like something
Even though I haven't been gone for long, it feels significant
Haven't seen your face since 1994
I haven't seen you in a long time, since 1994 to be exact
It feels like nothing
Seeing you again does not bring me much emotion or feeling
These days it pays to be so strange
The current trend is to be unique and different
And I'm like nothing
I feel like I do not fit into this trend of being strange and unique

@Somahush
Saw them in concert 4 months before the scandal. They were very charismatic and we all felt a strong feeling of freedom in the room while they played their songs, I don't know how to explain it.
