Tiempo
Pablo Sciuto Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
In the first verse, the singer expresses a sense of urgency and limited time to figure out their path in life. They acknowledge that their armor, representing their strength and resilience, is finite and will eventually lead to an end. The metaphor of the book's pages expiring emphasizes the fleeting nature of everything in life. The lyrics suggest that nothing can last forever, highlighting the impermanence of all things.
The chorus talks about the singer's desire to offer their love, describing it as something elusive and unattainable by others. It is depicted as a light of freedom that guides their actions and choices. The mention of writing a script and adapting a universal error suggests that love is both an unpredictable experiment and a way to learn from mistakes.
Continuing in the second verse, the lyrics reflect on the passing of time and the aging process. The reference to bones rusting under the millennium sun implies a sense of weariness and mortality. The soul is seen as an excuse for singing and crying, emphasizing its role in expressing and experiencing emotions. Any pain or sorrow is depicted as something that will be left behind in a mere postcard, which even the digital world cannot preserve.
The chorus repeats, highlighting the inescapable and intangible nature of the singer's love. The following verse speaks to the sensation of the air escaping, possibly representing the passing of life or the feeling of letting go. The body is reaching its limits, and the lyrics describe this as just another story of fragility, implying a recognition of the human condition and vulnerability.
Overall, the lyrics of "Tiempo" delve into themes of transience, the search for meaning in a limited time frame, the unpredictable nature of love, and the fragility of human existence. The song invites introspection and contemplation on the value of time and the impermanence of all things.
