Flame of the Panzerchrist
Panzerchrist Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Church of Christ breeding hate, the flame of hell shall rise
Satan's force rains from the throne to slay the priest of lies
1, 000 years was bound by chain, Satanus seeks revenge
Burning flame, the Antichrist - no mercy, no repent

Lightning strikes the knell of death, panic runs below
Holy priest, he prays in vain, the winds of death now blow
Flame of the Panzerchrist

Satan's troops they march from hell, the resurrected dead
Church of Christ lay under siege, the flame of death burns red
Demons slay the king of kings, destroy this holy shrine
Bow to me the Panzerchrist, the house of god is mine

Lightning strikes the knell of death, panic runs below
Holy priest, he prays in vain, the winds of death now blow
Flame of the Panzerchrist

In sacred tongue they try to fight, Satan holds the force
Wind and flame exerting death, destruction of the cross
Spirits scream with chants of doom, Lucifer has come
Distant hopes the heavens fall, in hell thy will be done

Lightning strikes the knell of death, panic runs below
Holy priest, he prays in vain, the winds of death now blow

Flame of the Panzer...
Christ, thy name is Panzer

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Flame of the Panzerchrist" by Panzerchrist are about the rising of Satan and his forces to destroy the Church of Christ and the priests that they deem to be spreading lies. After being suppressed for a thousand years, Satan seeks revenge and unleashes his fury on the Church. The Church is under siege, and the resurrected dead march forth with Satan's troops, while the demons destroy the holy shrine and slay the "king of kings" - a Biblical nickname for Jesus himself.

The song's title "Flame of the Panzerchrist" builds on the "Panzer" theme, which is a German word for "Tank" and is used, in this case, to refer to a heavily armed force that crushes everything in its path. The lyrics use the metaphor of a flame that destroys everything in its way - a symbol of Satan's power that ultimately overtakes the Christian faith. The song has a decidedly anti-Christian message and is a celebration of the triumph of Satan.
