They stop and frisk, its one of the many exceptions
Police may use stop and frisk as an exception to the general rule that they need probable cause to conduct a search

They altered it, changed the definition
Papoose believes that the police have changed the interpretation of the law to justify their use of stop and frisk

So now its a perfect fit for all the bullshittin'
The police use of stop and frisk is now more convenient for them due to the altered definition of probable cause

Sounds like fiction but to justify it in court
Papoose believes that the police have had to resort to creative arguments to defend their use of stop and frisk

The cops gotta have reasonable suspicion
Police must have a valid and specific reason to suspect someone of a crime in order to justify a search

If they sont, this where I need you to listen
Papoose is advising listeners to understand their rights and not allow unreasonable searches to take place

To search you they gotta ask for permission
Police must have explicit permission to conduct a search, or obtain a warrant beforehand

I can't determine how that go

But if I was you I would say hell no

Reason to stop, fact determined by a cop

Even though they making these horrible laws
Papoose is critical of laws that restrict civil liberties and increase police power

They cannot search you without probable cause
The general rule is that police must have probable cause before they conduct a search

Gun cases get dictated by the laws
Laws specific to gun possession and use have a major impact on how these cases are handled

Your defense is to prove Is not yours
In some cases, a defendant may argue that a gun found in their possession does not belong to them

The presence in any room, dwelling structure or vehicle,
The location of a weapon can be used as evidence in a gun possession case

Any grounds of any machine gun is presumptive evidence now
If a machine gun is found on any property or in any vicinity, it is assumed to be evidence of a crime

Of its unlawful possession by all persons
If a machine gun is found, it is assumed to be in the possession of someone who is violating the law

Occupying a place, such machine gun was found
If a machine gun is found near someone, it is assumed to be in their possession

If you in the vicinity of a gun you taking chances
Simply being around a gun can put someone at risk for being accused of a crime

Unless under the following circumstances
There are certain exceptions to the rule that being in proximity to a gun is evidence of a crime

A if such weapon found was where? Upon a person
If someone is physically holding or wearing a gun, it is not presumptive evidence of a crime

Of one of the occupants there
This refers specifically to a situation where a gun is found in a dwelling or vehicle with multiple occupants

B if the weapon found in the car was either being operated for hire
If a gun is found in a car that is being used for a commercial purpose, it is not automatically evidence of a crime

By a licensed driver
This exception applies only if the driver of the car has a valid license or permit to transport the gun

C is plain, if one of the occupants has a valid license to have and carry concealed
If someone in a dwelling or vehicle has a valid permit or license to carry a concealed weapon, their possession of the gun is not presumptive evidence of a crime

This refers back to the previous line, which introduced the concept of a valid license to carry a concealed weapon
