Kiss
Paris Bennett Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I just need your body, baby, from dusk 'til dawn
You don't need experience to turn me on
You just leave it all up to me
I'm gonna show you what it's all about
You don't have to be rich to be my girl
You don't have to be cool to rule my world
I just want your extra time and your kiss
You got to not talk dirty, baby, if you wanna impress me
You can't be too flirty, mama, I know how to undress me
I want to be your fantasy, maybe you could be mine
You just leave it all up to me, we could have a good time
You don't have to be rich to be my girl
You don't have to be cool to rule my world
Ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with
I just want your extra time and your kiss
Yes, oh
I think I wanna dance
Gotta, gotta
Little girl Wendy's parade
Gotta, gotta, gotta
Women, not girls, rule my world, I said they rule my world
Act your age, mama, not your shoe size
Not your shoe size, maybe we could do the twirl
You don't have to watch Dynasty to have an attitude
You just leave it all up to me, my love will be your food
You don't have to be rich to be my girl
You don't have to be cool to rule my world
Ain't no particular sign I'm compatible with
I just want your extra time and your kiss
The lyrics of Paris Bennett's song "Kiss" are about breaking societal norms and embracing individuality in matters of love and attraction. The song highlights that physical beauty, wealth, and experience are not necessary to arouse desire and create a deep connection with someone. The singer asserts that all they need is the other person's body, from dusk 'til dawn, and they will show them what the experience of love is all about. The emphasis is on the intimate and personal connection formed through a kiss.
The song challenges traditional stereotypes and expectations, stating that being rich or cool does not determine compatibility or the ability to rule someone's world. There is no particular sign the singer is more compatible with; they simply desire the other person's time and their kiss. The lyrics further emphasize that communication and respect are crucial, as talking dirty or being overly flirtatious will not impress the singer. The desire is for a genuine and deep connection, where the other person becomes the singer's fantasy, while they in turn become the other person's.
The overall message of the song is empowering and encourages individuals to embrace their uniqueness and authenticity in matters of love and desire. It challenges societal norms and expectations by promoting the idea that love and attraction are not constrained by external factors such as wealth or appearance, but are rooted in genuine connection and mutual desire.
