Find your love in another eyes
I only see your face
As you walk away
You were ready and I was pressed for time
You kept it steady just to hear what was on my mind
And you know
Into pieces
When you know I
was not ready to let
You in
To my heart
Your love for me was not the same
As my infatuation for you name
Take my clothes and take my pride
I don't know what's worse; I can't decide
You were ready and I was pressed for time
You kept it steady just to hear what was on my mind
And you know
Just how to break my soul
Into pieces
When you know I
was not ready to let
You in
To my heart
Painted crowns and leper heals
To find out what is real
Broken wings learn to fly
But you can't learn to even cry
Healed from what you saw
But you hold on to your brawn
That You see in yourself
But I can't say that I love you
That I love you
That I love you
Ohhhh
Cause You were ready I was pressed for time
I can't say what's on my mind
The lyrics to Park's song [untitled] convey a sense of longing, regret, and confusion in a relationship that was unbalanced and ultimately not meant to be. The singer is asking the other person to let go and move on, to find love elsewhere, as they can only see their face as they walk away. There is a recognition that the other person was ready for a commitment, while the singer was not, leading to a situation where their souls were broken into pieces. The singer acknowledges the difference in their feelings, describing their infatuation for the other person's name, and questioning what is worse: taking their clothes or their pride.
The second verse explores the idea of searching for truth and meaning in a world that can be deceptive. The metaphor of painted crowns and leper heals symbolizes the superficiality and falseness that surrounds us, while broken wings learning to fly represents personal growth and resilience. However, the singer also emphasizes that one cannot learn how to cry, suggesting an emotional disconnection. The bridge suggests that though the singer may have healed from what they witnessed and experienced, they still hold on to their strength and self-perception. Despite this, they cannot say that they love the other person.
Overall, the lyrics of [untitled] explore the complexities of a relationship where one person is ready to commit while the other is not. It highlights the pain, confusion, and difficulty of letting go when emotions are imbalanced, and the struggle to find genuine love and connection.
