The band is fronted by Andrew Savage, who is known for his collaborations with projects like Fergus & Geronimo, Teenage Cool Kids and Wiccans. Savage is joined by Austin Brown (Guitar), Sean Yeaton (Bass) and Max Savage (Drums).

The bands’ debut release is described as The Fall meets Neil Young- which all makes sense on the band’s debut release, “American Specialties”. The quartet wanders through the American and British underground, picking away their favorite parts with confidence. The lyrics, when intelligible, are bizarre and dramatic. “She looked at me like a fry pan reducing,” moans Savage, from the same lustful subconscious built by the darker moments of psychedelia. Then at times, such as on the 70’s folkish “Square States”, thoughts are more sentimental and transparent. The setting for “American Specialties” ranges from a crusty Brooklyn bodega, to an endless Texas desert. Discovered them when they released sunbathing animal fell in love love their older punk stuff, bought tickets to go see them in Santa Cruz showed up to the show and it was 21+ and I'm 20. Didn't let me in but they felt bad and they went and got Austin and let me meet him and we talked about music for like 5 minutes. One of the coolest moments of my.life

Xxxx Xxxx but to answer ur question....when the true golden age of post punk was in 1979-late 80s. I wasn’t around or at least old enough to appreciate it. I still remember the post punk revival of the early 2000s and that was a great time. That 2000 era got the limelight while the golden age of post punk was something of an underground thing compared to the new wave sound that was happening. This new era of post punk with bands like Preoccupations, protomartyr, parquet courts, ought, iceage, and others won’t get the heavy limelight the strokes, interpol, etc. did. To me this is the second great golden age of post punk. Not post punk revival.

This was the song that dismantled the concert in De Kreun last weekend. After 6 or 7 of their vintage combinations of Pavement-Modern Lovers-Sonic Youth, they suddenly had to get their inspiration with Lou Depryck & The Hollywood Bananas. If it's meant to be Fela Kuti, then there's a long way to go. This is either genuinely self destructive or a misguided attempt at getting away from punk by including exotic references. (As good as "Remain in light", seriously?) Well, they can do whatever they like of course, but I think they are best at lyrics, riffs and rhythms, not at creating a soundscape out of some kind of jam.

John Smith it's like their "Who Is It?" repetitive but it's got a killer hook. The go go bell though gives it a speaking in tongues sound. There's a song on that record, I believe the second to last one that uses that typical go go bell pattern
