E.H.B.O.
Party Animals Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The world is coming to an end.
But we don′t care
Because were moontan not journalist
Final consuming animals
Drifting easy in friendly space.
And anolauge trance.
Nothing can doom this group.
Where controlling the mind
Manipulating the madness
Sucking in the energy
And were causing nerve ending
Because we out on a move
What to do where to go?

And then we know!!
Get on!!

Overall Meaning

The opening line of Party Animals's E.H.B.O. seems to suggest that the state of the world is grim and it is on the verge of collapsing. However, the group proclaims they don't care because they are "moontan, not journalists". It appears that the group is distancing themselves from reality and choosing to live in a fantastical world of their own rather than facing the issues plaguing the world. The line "final consuming animals" appears to refer to humanity as a whole - a species that is consuming itself to its own destruction, bringing about the end of the world. Yet again, the group indicates that they aren't bothered by it, as they are "drifting easy in friendly space" and in a state of "analogue trance". They believe that nothing can bring doom to their group because they are in control of their own minds and can manipulate madness.

Moving into the latter part of the song, the group seems to be out on the move, wondering what to do and where to go. However, they find clarity and motivation in the simple phrase, "get on!" In essence, the song is celebrating escapism and a sense of invincibility that can result from distancing oneself from the harsh realities of life. It is a song about living in the moment and not worrying about the consequences.
