2007–2014: Career beginnings and debut album
Having made electronic-infused R&B under his real name Jahron Brathwaite [Jahron B], he signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell as a songwriter, under the name PartyNextDoor, at age 18.[7][failed verification] His first mixtape, PartyNextDoor, was released to the iTunes Store on July 1, 2013.[8] It entered on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart at number six with sales of 2,000 copies[9] and peaked at number 34 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for the week of July 20, 2013.[10] He performed background vocals on "Own It" and "Come Thru" from Drake's third studio album, Nothing Was the Same.[11]
His debut studio album PartyNextDoor Two was released on July 30, 2014. The record featured singles like "Thirsty", "FWU", "East Liberty" and the Billboard charted "Recognize", featuring Drake. Later that year, on December 3, 2014, PartyNextDoor released the four-track EP titled PNDColours, with the follow-up COLOURS 2, released in 2017.[12] In 2015, he produced three songs on Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late: "Legend", "Preach" and "Wednesday Night Interlude".[7]
2016–present: PartyNextDoor 3, Partymobile and Partypack
PartyNextDoor earned his first number-one song as a songwriter when on January 27, 2016, Rihanna released the lead single "Work" from her eighth studio album, Anti.[13][14] The song maintained its spot at number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks. He also penned the song "Sex with Me" on the same album.[2] On March 25, 2016, PartyNextDoor released "Come and See Me", which features fellow artist Drake, from his upcoming second studio album, PartyNextDoor 3 (also known as P3). He and Jeremih toured in 2016 and had plans to release a joint project.[18]
On June 4, 2017, PartyNextDoor released Colours 2 without any prior announcement. A short film for the EP was released on June 12, 2017.[citation needed]

After a lead artist hiatus PartyNextDoor returned in December 2019 with two singles "The News" and "Loyal", with the latter featuring Drake. They served as the lead singles of his album Partymobile which he tweeted would be released in February.[19] The album was eventually released on March 27, 2020, following delays.[20]
On October 15, 2020, Party surprise-announced the release of Partypack, a seven-song EP containing previously unreleased songs like the 2014 song "Persian Rugs". The EP was released the following day.[21]
On January 29, 2021, Party released his 2014 EP, Colours, to streaming services for the first time. It includes four extra tracks that were previously released as Colours 2 in 2017.

Shit just got real, things are gettin' intense now
I hear you talkin' 'bout we a lot, oh, you speak French now?
Givin' me the signs so I gotta take a hint now
I hit you up like, "Do you wanna hang right now?"
On the East Side and you know I'm with the gang right now
You say do I own a watch, do I know what time it is right now
It's after 2AM and that's askin' a lot of you right now
All she talkin' bout is come and see me for once
Come and see me for once
You don't ever come to me, you don't ever come to me
All she ever say is come and see me for once
Come and see me for once
You don't ever come to me, you don't ever come to me
I been up for two whole days thinkin' what I did to keep you goin'
Thumbin' through the voicemails that you left me tellin' me where I went wrong
I'll admit I'm sorry when I feel I'm truly sorry
Things change, people change, feelings change too
Never thought the circumstances woulda changed you
You said you never traded, no (yeah, you said that)
And I believed you when they told me don't (yeah, thought you meant that)
But either way you're still invited and I can't even lie to you
Swear these days all you say is come and see me for once
Come and see me for once
You don't ever come to me, you don't ever come to me
All she hit me with is come and see me for once
Come and see me for once, oh
You don't ever come to me, you don't ever come to me
Why you gotta start, girl, why you gotta start?
I know we make time for the things that we want
I know you got another nigga tryna play the part
Just 'cause he got a heart don't mean he got heart
Could be standin' in a field, and he still ain't in the field
If anythin' should change then I thought we had a deal
Lately you keep questionin' what you get out the deal
Doin' things to make me feel the way I make you feel
How hard is it to let you know when I'm comin' home?
That way you could be prepared, maybe take a couple sick days and not miss pay
I don't even know what things are lookin' like inside of your place and how it's decorated
This thing is gettin' one-sided, I can't even lie to you right now
Yeah (yeah-yeah)
All she talkin' 'bout is come and see me for once
Come and see me for once
You don't ever come to me, you don't ever come to me
Yeah
All she hit me with is come and see me for once
Come and see me for once
You don't ever come to me, you don't ever come to me
The lyrics of "Come and See Me" by PARTYNEXTDOOR feat. Drake depict a deteriorating relationship where the couple is unable to see each other often. The first verse begins with the singer contemplating the seriousness of the situation and how the girl he’s with is giving him hints to break up. He then asks her if she wants to meet up, but she never comes to him, making everything harder for him. The song is ultimately about miscommunication and the challenges that come with long-distance relationships.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase “All she talkin' bout is come and see me for once,” and this is the focal point of the song. The girl is asking her partner to come and see her, but he feels like she never reciprocates the effort. The second verse sees the singer apologizing and blaming himself for the situation at hand. Despite her constant requests to see him, the girl is the one who has another man trying to play the part. The last few lines of the verse illustrate that the relationship can still be saved but still feel one-sided.
Overall, the song delves into the challenges of long-distance relationships and the difficulties that come with trying to save them. The constant requests to “come and see me” become redundant and emphasize the pain of being apart. The lyrics showcase the agony of wanting to be with someone, but the circumstances make it challenging, making it a relatable and emotional track.
