The lyrics of PARTYNEXTDOOR's song "Welcome to the Party" depict a typical party scene in the singer's hometown of Mississauga, Canada, commonly referred to as 'Sauga. The song opens with a description of the singer's city, where the sun sets, and marijuana is prevalent in the complex. The artist also mentions drinking Henny to numb his heart while wearing "Stunna' shades" because everybody's rolling. The lyrics then switch to a more playful tone, with the artist declaring his indifference to the people at the party by saying "Fuck em' bitches, fuck em' niggas too, fuck em' niggas, what I got's to lose?"
The song's chorus describes the feeling of being in a party that is so good that it takes you to your "all-time high," with the music playing, the bass turning up, and the heart jumping. The lyrics showcase the artist's sense of coolness and confidence, referencing that he is the coolest and that only time can tell how they will do it. The song's title, "Welcome to the Party," is repeated throughout, inviting people to join in and celebrate.
In summary, "Welcome to the Party" by PARTYNEXTDOOR is an invitation into the world of a Canadian party scene, where marijuana, Henny, and good vibes are abundant, and everyone is welcome to join in and have a good time.
