Passiflora Lyrics

I was the sword to get caught
In all kinds of bubbles I'm,
Constantly bursting over everyone
That's why I come off as...
But we're taking the time
Forgetting those early birds
In a musical setting all set with props, and hats and masks
But I'll give up till I'm an expert
Only a minute to express my in-betweeness
I walk along awkward butterflies,
That wouldn't let us see beyond our eyes
And it's clear you're a crime, not to mention lie
Coming in through my window open
Wide, wide
And I see we're made out of all these things
Others would break apart
But we would keep...
Holding on like you with, fire-ry eyes and arms,
Boyish teeth sneak through your beard
Where have you gone?
But that invisible gang that follows you around,
Was waving at me long before my feet hit the ground.
In "Window," Passiflora explores themes of vulnerability, self-discovery, and the dichotomy between appearances and true intentions. The song begins with the line "Chance let us see," suggesting that the singer has stumbled upon a revealing moment or insight. The following line, "I was the sword to get caught," portrays the singer as someone who unintentionally finds themselves entangled in difficult situations or relationships.
Passiflora then delves into the idea of living within a bubble, constantly bursting over others. This could be interpreted as the singer's tendency to break down emotional barriers and reveal their true self to others. However, this openness has led to some misunderstandings, as the line "That's why I come off as..." suggests. The singer may be misunderstood or misjudged due to their willingness to expose their vulnerabilities.
The song takes a reflective turn as the singer describes forgetting past experiences and embracing the present moment. They mention a musical setting filled with props, hats, and masks, symbolizing the various personas we adopt to navigate our relationships and interactions. The singer acknowledges the uniqueness of someone they admire, highlighting their distinctiveness and individuality.
As the song progresses, Passiflora introduces the idea of navigating through uncertainty and the in-between moments. They depict themselves walking along with "awkward butterflies" that restrict their ability to see beyond their own perspective. This may symbolize the limitations and fears that prevent the singer from fully understanding themselves or others. The line "And it's clear you're a crime, not to mention a lie" suggests that someone, possibly the person the singer admires, has deceived or disappointed them.
The song concludes with the singer reflecting on the resilience of their relationship. They acknowledge that they are made up of diverse elements, emphasizing their strength and ability to withstand challenges that others may not endure. The final lines reveal a sense of longing for someone who has disappeared, while hinting at a mysterious force that has been present since the beginning.
Overall, "Window" captures the complexities of human connection and the inner journey of self-discovery, highlighting the struggles and beauty that accompany vulnerability.

Chance let us see
Luck allowed us to perceive
I was the sword to get caught
I was the one who became entangled
In all kinds of bubbles I'm,
Trapped in various illusions
Constantly bursting over everyone
Continuously disappointing those around me
That's why I come off as...
That's why I appear as...
But we're taking the time
But we're using the opportunity
Forgetting those early birds
Ignoring the early achievers
In a musical setting all set with props, and hats and masks
In a carefully arranged musical atmosphere filled with accessories and disguises
You wear like no other
You wear uniquely
But I'll give up till I'm an expert
But I'll persist until I become skilled
Only a minute to express my in-betweeness
Only a brief moment to convey my state of ambiguity
I walk along awkward butterflies,
I navigate through uncomfortable situations
That wouldn't let us see beyond our eyes
That prevented us from seeing beyond our limited perspectives
And it's clear you're a crime, not to mention lie
And it's evident you're both a wrongdoing and a deceit
Coming in through my window open
Entering through my wide-open window
Wide, wide
Very wide
And I see we're made out of all these things
And I realize we are composed of various qualities
Others would break apart
Others would fall apart
But we would keep...
But we would continue...
Holding on like you with, fire-ry eyes and arms,
Holding on tightly like you, with passionate eyes and arms
Boyish teeth sneak through your beard
Childlike teeth peeking through your facial hair
Where have you gone?
Where have you disappeared to?
But that invisible gang that follows you around,
But that unseen group that accompanies you
Was waving at me long before my feet hit the ground.
Was greeting me long before I arrived.
