Audacious... and completely successful.
From a 1972 LP tributing the late Wes Montgomery, Martino plays one of Wes' signature tunes, in Wes' signature style, and then makes it his own.
You'll want to listen to this twice, once just to dig it, and then again to pay special attention to the support Bobbv Rose, on second guitar, Billy Higgins, on drums, and, most especially, Richard Davis, on bass, give Pat during his solo.
Wes would be impressed.
