1 - PAUS is also a portuguese band where Hélio Morais (Linda Martini, If Lucy Fell) and Quim Albergaria (ex-The Vicious Five, Caveira) play a siamese drum set, together with Makoto Yagyu (If Lucy Fell, Riding Pânico) on the bass and Fábio Jevelim (Riding Pânico, ex-Men Eater) on the keyboards. João “Shela” Pereira (If Lucy Fell, Riding Pânico) was the keyboardist until Jevelim joined the band.
The quartet has been praised for their distinctive experimental sound and explosive and improvisational live shows.
They released their debut EP “É Uma Água” in 2010, through prolific Portuguese label Enchufada, and their first full-lenght album, "PAUS", in 2011. A special EP, "Estamos Juntos" was given with the ticket for one of their concerts at Centro Cultural de Belém and later released in selected stores.
2 - PAUS is a swedish duo formed by Joakim Berg (main songwriter and lead vocalist in the swedish rock band Kent) and Peter Svensson (lead guitarist in The Cardigans). Peter sings on all tracks except from “Kärlekens tunga” (a cover on an Eldkvarn song).
The album from 1998 had two singles released, Leia and Shock.

Bandeira!
The lyrics of Pau's song Bandeira Branca essentially express a plea for peace and a call for the end of conflict. The repetition of the phrase "Bandeira Branca" which means "white flag" in English, emphasizes the song's message of surrender, of letting go of pride and anger in order to bring about peace. The repeated lines "Do carma não partir" and "Alguma deixa ir" suggest a need for forgiveness and release of spiritual burdens for peace to be possible.
The song's lyrics likely resonate with many listeners, as they evoke universal human desires for peace and acceptance. The use of the phrase "Bandeira" to repeat the message reinforces a sense of unity and togetherness in the face of ongoing conflict. The song's simple melody and chorus make it easy to sing along, further fueling the sense of communal desire for peace.
