They all meet at school and claim to be inspired from various artists including Kendrick Lamar and The Beatles. Their music has alternative rock, jazz, funk and hip-hop elements. They're proud of their origins, being sons of immigrants from Mexico, Philippines and Palestine. The group is self funding by its own members, that have other jobs: "We are the Rascals que we do our best with the best we have, even though it's not too much."
